Company information

Roz has worked as a counsellor-trainer and psychotherapist, and Jo as founder-director of a centre for facilitator training and personal/professional development. We're retired now, but enjoy meeting people from different places and cultures. We've been Airbnb-hosting our 'Secluded cosy cabin' since April 2017 and also, more recently, our 'Secluded Annexe'. Between us, we have a lot of experience of living in Cornwall, and are happy to give you tips, if you'd like them. There are excellent restaurants and cafes nearby, and we'd recommend St Austell Bay mussles at 'Sam's on the Beach' in Polkerris (off the road to Fowey) or Charlie's Boathouse in Charlestown, or at The White Hart in St Austell town centre. There are guides to the local area in the cabin, and in "Jo's Guide" in this listing and we are available via messaging if you have any more queries about places to go.

Property information

The Cabin is reached up a private drive and surrounded by trees as if in the country, yet is just 5 minutes walk to the train station where buses shuttle every half hour to the Eden Project. The park, indoor swimming pool, and town centre are 5 minutes walk. Charlestown's World Heritage port, St Austell Bay's 7 beaches, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey's riverside charm and Mevagissey's fishing harbour are within 20 minutes drive and in 1 hour you can be almost anywhere in Cornwall.

Neighbourhood information

St Austell is well-placed for exploring Cornwall. It's an hour to Penzance on the train or by car, and the same to Plymouth. So whether you want sandy beaches, surfing, coastal walks, quaint villages, wild moors, sailing, fishing, megalithic sites, stone circles, tin mines, or theme parks, you won't have far to go. St Austell's also near the home of Knee-High Theatre, and has one of the newest, state-of-the-art multi-screen cinemas in Cornwall. The train and bus station is five minutes walk, with a bus shuttle every half hour to the Eden Project. (The Eden bus ticket gives you a discount to Eden Project entry). With a car you can park in front the cabin on a private drive.
