Situated halfway between Bodmin and Liskeard and dating back to the late 18th century, the Old Farmhouse was once the main house for the farm and retains its quirky nature. It still has its original uneven main staircase, low beams and inglenook fireplaces, one of which now has a log burner. The house has 4 good-sized bedrooms, a lounge, large dining kitchen and 2 shower rooms (one which also has a bath). The house is really well-equipped for self-catering holidays and we provide bed linen, shower room towels, bath mats, tea towels, oven gloves, a kitchen starter pack and a welcome hamper which always includes a Cornish cream tea. The house has its own small lawned garden, patio and back yard with rotary clothes line, outdoor seating, parasol and BBQ during the warmer months. Free parking is just outside, across a flower bed. There is also a washing machine in the garage block just a few steps away from the front door. The house is set in 17 acres of beautiful grounds with woods, meadows, lake and a private stretch of the River Fowey flowing through the garden. All of this is available to our guests, as well as outdoor games in summer, tree swings and a boules court. Guests may also enjoy free fishing for trout and salmon in the river during their visit.
