Junior studio 2 was really cosy and felt like home. it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. Owners thought of every possible necessity and provided them. There was even a beach umbrella, milk for your coffee, complimentary wine and snacks and so on. The sound insulation of the windows was perfect. It's in a great location and could be noisy but windows make great job.

Studios with Mezzanine Rua da Moeda is a set of 7 self-catering studios located in Lisbon, 250 metres from central public transport hub Cais do Sodré and the Tagus River. Cais do Sodré is a short walk away and is one the city's premier nightlife hotspots. Set in a traditional late 18th century building, with Portuguese tiles in its stairway, these air-conditioned studios have a bed on a mezzanine. The living area comes with sofa-bed for 1 or 2 persons and flat screen TV with either cable TV or satellite TV. Each studio has a bathroom with a shower, and there is also a fully equipped kitchen in each unit. Guests may cook their own meals at the accommodation. The popular Time Out Market is just across the street and features an assortment of food and drink options, with some kiosks from renowned chefs. Alternatively, local restaurants are available just outside the building and through a short walk. The property is 300 metres from Bairro Alto and 500 metres from historical Chiado. Lisbon’s International Airport is located 8.3 km away from the units.

Susanne Peitz was born in Lisbon in Sep. 1967, went to Lisbon's' German School, studied hotel management, worked 14 years for Lufthansa at Lisbon airport and ended up dedicating her life to the family business which is renting, reconstructing and decorating the building. She speaks 5 languages.

Property information

Our property is family owned and the building was constructed at the end of 18th century after the devastating earthquake in 1755. We rent out 13 offices (1st floor), 7 Studios and 6 restaurants (in basement). The building is well maintained and has been modernized along the last 30 years. It is located in the historical area of " Cais do Sodré " with its official name of neighborhood " Misericórdia ". Lisbon is one of the eldest capitals in Europe... around 6000 years ago it was founded. Best spot for public transport. Metro, train to Cascais, ferries across the Tejo- river, Buses, Tramways, Taxis are available within 2 minutes walk. TukTuks and touristic hop-on-hop-off Buses stop here too, just like main touristic sightseeing ships. We are in the hosting business since July 2014 and started with Studio 6. Very shortly after we started to reconstruct other Studios and since February 2020, we run 7 Studios all together. Susanne belongs to the family which owns the building. Mauro is her partner and assistant. He is a pro in " what- to- do- in -Lisbon". Olga is the main housekeeper and Viktoria (Ukrainian )& Alexandra ( Portuguese ) & Gisela ( Brazilian) are another 3 cleaning ladies.

Neighbourhood information

Located in the best area in Lisbon, right in the bottom of the 7-hill - city, 50 meters opposite gourmet market "TIME OUT MARKET" and 200 meters away from the river banks of River " Tejo ". The neighborhood is famous for fashion restaurants, nightlife (Pink Street 350 mts away). This area is loved by all Portuguese of all ages and every visitor in Lisbon drops by this area. "Cais do Sodré" (neighborhood is officially called Misericórdia) is the best spot for public transport , food and beverage in Lisboa.
