The Location! Without doubt the best Location/view in El Valle. Monica is an amazing Host who makes sure that everything about your trip and local tours runs smooth. Every day rooms were cleaned/fresh sheets or towels if needed. A place to Calm down, enjoying the Sounds of the sea. Restaurants are close by. Tours can be organized through Monica.

Location - best view in town of Playa Almejal. Lots of comfy nooks with different views. Monica was an excellent host and took care of all our needs. The cats and dog were an extra bonus!

Amazing hotel in a perfect location on the beach in el Valle. Monica was super attentive to us from before we arrived, helping us organize tours and activities and providing suggestions. The room was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed the social areas/deck for relaxing in the afternoons. Good breakfast considering the lack of options for ingredients in El Valle. We really enjoyed our stay at El Morro!

Mónica is very kind and helpful, the location is amazing, the room is very comfortable, it's walking distance from everything in town and also private and quiet. Keep in mind that you're in the tropical rainforest, bugs, storms and humidity are to be expected and part of the experience, enjoy!

CONS - the beds are very uncomfortable (regardless, I somehow slept pretty well) - the wifi only exists in theory (not a huge issue for me)

PROS: - amazing views to the beach, probably the best in the village - Monica is a great host who is engaged with the local community - several different spaces to relax and watch the ocean - nice chill vibe

This has nothing to do with the Hotel: Please be aware that there is only one ATM in El Valle, and its functionality can be weather-dependent. It's advisable to withdraw cash in advance and bring it with you, as payments are conducted in cash.

We had a fantastic 4-night stay at El Morro Hosteria in El Valle. Monica, the owner, is a wonderful host, and the ocean-view room was perfect. The spacious rooms are cleaned daily, a kitchen is available, and Monica prepares delicious breakfasts. Her organized trips, including whale watching, were a highlight. El Valle offers a peaceful, non-touristy experience. Plus, the presence of six friendly cats and a lovely dog added to the charm. Highly recommended!

El Morro is situated directly at the beach and the rooms have a stunning view! I can only recommend the place for visiting the Pacific Coast! Also the host Monica is really nice and can recommend some nice day trips.

The Wi-Fi was a bit tricky (could be a positive if you are trying to get away) and I think was an issue with the area not just at the hotel.

The view of the beach and the sea was unbelievable. Monica was so lovely and kind she was so so helpful in helping us book adventures!

The views of the beach are spectacular from our room and social spaces. Everything was very comfortable, and an extremely relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruits and juices cereals and eggs how you like, good coffee etc. Monica was such a great host and so helpful about organising tours and recomendations of where to eat.

The location of El Morro Hosteria is exceptional, on top of a hill, right on the beach, with spectacular views of the ocean and the surrounding areas. There are several decks on top of the house where you can see and hear birds early in the morning. The property itself is a bit rustic, which is typical of the area, but it's very spacious and we also had access to a shared kitchen and all the common areas including the decks and garden. Monica and Jupi, our hosts made us feel at home right away. They are super friendly, open and accommodating. She prepared the most delicious breakfast every morning - and even did a demonstration of how she extracts the juice from a coconut she just plucked from the tree in their garden. They also helped arrange hikes and canoe trips with local guides.

Would be good to fix the lock on the bathroom door, that’s all! and just a heads up that the area is quite remote without many shops, so bring plenty of mosquito repellant, and any snacks if you have dietary requirements e.g vegan (the local restaurants mainly serve fish and rice) :)

Monica and Jupi were fabulous hosts, very caring and attentive, helping us to book tours, and giving good recommendations. The location on the beach is the best in the area. Breakfast was plentiful. This is the best place you can stay in the Bahia Solano area.

The wifi was a bit unstable and we at times couldn’t access it. but this was a minor point as most of the time r were out and about or enjoying the views.

Monica and Juipe made us feel right at home. They have built a beautiful B&B right next to the beach. it has the best views with multiple levels to relax on. Every guest is given their own hammock to relax in and we are able to cook in the kitchen as we please. the bedrooms were very comfortable with great ocean views and protective mosquito nets. we really enjoyed our stay! Monica also helped organise various tours so that we could go whale watching and explore the ational park Utria, see the waterfalls of El Tigre and know where to eat.
