'What did you like?' ... What didn't I like?? First of all, Saman fixed us a ride from Wilpattu to Sigiriya on short notice. Throughout our stay he fixed our transportation many times for a fair price, even early in the morning. He gave us helpful tips and when we wanted to extend our stay because we liked it so much, he fixed us another great hotel since he was fully booked. Saman's wife was also super kind and helpful + prepared a great breakfast! And their son was amazingly sweet and helpful as well. The location was incredible as we were super close to both rocks (why else would you be in Sigiriya?). The place looks very nice as well and is away from the road - so no noise. The whole experience was great for us, nobody pushed us into doing or buying anything - but we were guided towards our own needs and wishes. My girlfriend and I definitely recommend Sigiri Saman Home Stay 100%, and we would gladly stay again at this very welcoming and kind family.

Very good value for money. The host is such a nice person. Breakfast was good. Mr. Bandula was accommodating when we wanted breakfast a little early as we wanted to head out early for hiking before it got too hot. We did have a frog visitor in the evening in the room, just in case anyone does not like frogs. Good wifi. Easy to rent bicycles from nearby places. Mr. Bandula also cooked dinner for us one night and it was great.

Good location near the main road so it was easy to locate and easy to get the bus in and out of town. Wifi worked well. Room was clean. Air con was good. We could rent bikes from them and the ticket office for Polonnaruwa is very near. Dinner was delicious and not spicy as requested but way too much for one person. It cost 1500 and I'd prefer to pay less for the amount of food that I would actually finish eating.

Pushy host wanting to sell the safari tour, even after politely declining he would repeatedly bring it up so I started trying to avoid him

After staying here yesterday, I must commend the hotel for its exceptionally courteous staff and impeccably clean rooms. The bathroom was also well-maintained. Overall, I am thoroughly satisfied with my experience, especially considering the reasonable pricing. Highly recommended!

The best homestay I experience in Sri Lanka, Owner provide such wonderful breakfast which impressed me. Ella not cold in night time, I could sleep very well. The room clean and comfortable, keep me warm in sleeping time. And here are no flies inside the bathroom, always cleaning.

We had a lovely stay for one night at this beautiful hotel with its more than friendly staff. Also we went on safari to the national park with one of their drivers (Shantha), who really was a nice guy.
