How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff were rude The cleanness of the bath/ shower was atrocious I had to shower wearing my thongs On the day I checked in I put a decent amount of fluff on a tile in the bathroom and it was still there when I checked out The bed sheets were stained The food wasn’t much better Many times I was sitting on my balcony which looked directly down at the eating are usually between 5-6am and there were numerous cats on the table licking the tables and judging by the cleanliness of the rooms I’m going to hazard a guess those tables were not wiped down I left my booking 2 days early because I could not deal with the filth

Everything else. Hotel is dirty and run down. Restaurant food is very second rate. Wouldn't stay there again

What’s there really not to like
Location is amazing, right at the end of garlic lane, perfect for shopping, eating and drinking, 5 min walk down the road to the beach 10/10 for value for money.

A lot of pride is taken in this properties presentation. It opens on to the street so not a long walk to go out. The rooms are big and secure.

The hotel staff are always up for a decent chat and speak good English. They are not bossy and service is always with a warm and friendly smile

That I didn't go there sooner. It's only a short walk to the beach
I love the pavilion between the pool and the street which is great for drinks, people watching and eating the buffet breakfast for $5aud or their yummy Gado Gado for only $5.80aud. The rooms are bigger than average even the standard rooms have size and cool AC.

A few steps onto the street rather than down a long lane way. Short walk to the beach. Always clean and spacious rooms with great AC. Buffet brekky very good @50,000. Bar, pool and ,'Go fish Bar 100metres away for $2 bintangs.

I had one of the really old rooms right on the main street so it was extremely noisy from morning until late at night with music/cars/motorbikes. It has a bathtub but really high so you wouldn't want to be short or old having to climb in/out of the bathtub to have a shower that barely spurts out water.
Excellent location if you want to be close to bars/beach/shopping. Great pool area

The walls were extremely dirty with I would hate to think what. Not the place to stay if you are after a quiet night. Left after 1 night of my 4 night booking and wasn't even questioned by the staff as to why i was leaving. Perhaps this was a common occurrence!

Extremely run down, no hot water, shower sprayed every way but down, toilet didn’t flush properly, the air con was so loud I had to turn it off to be able to sleep, holes in doors,

The room was horrible. Shower flooded entire bathroom and left residue, the mozzies and cockroaches came up the drain. During the night my AC stopped working so I'd wake up sweating, kick the sheets off then the mozzies ate me alive. I originally thought the bed may have had bed bugs - but could have just been the mozzies. CCTV is blurry (didn't help me when I really needed it). Would have loved to stay due to cheap price, but honestly I wasn't sleeping properly so had to leave after 3 nights.
Location great. Staff, great apart from 1 or 2 who were uncomfortably friendly. Good place to meet people with the pool, bar, restaurant and entertainment. Room serviced everyday. Cheap price.

Rooms are a little run down with a damp smell . Bathrooms need. Attention . Mattresses need attention as mine I could feel the springs
Close to all the amenities. Walking distance to beach and local shops and Markets . Set back from the road so minimal traffic noise .

There's nothing to dislike
The staff is friendly, the location is just perfect. Almost everything is within walking distance only the supermarket is a bit far but still it's only a couple of dollars for the fare

This place was filthy The clean towels turned up wet. Not damp but wet The shower was badly set out
