“Location, hospitality and cleanliness. The caretaker,Phunsang Dorjey is ever smiling and helpful. Arranging additional bed and blankets etc was no problem..The tourist season starts from middle of May when the cook house and dining facilities will start. However tea/coffee was available and the caretaker/staff was ready to arrange meal/breakfast from nearby ,as we were visiting during off season!”
“That was a nice and pleasant stay
Was enjoying sunrise on rooftop everyday
Super clean rooms with hospitality great
I surely like it! Will be there. Can’t wait 😁”
“The list of positives of my 3 night stay at Thangkop House is a long one: Good wifi, hot showers (both of which are scarce in Ladakh), spacious, clean rooms with lovely views, seamless check-in process, hot tea and biscuits on arrival etc etc. But what made my stay at Thangkop House so memorable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of the owners, Dolma and her son Wong. I had a million and one questions upon arrival as I needed help with planning my motorbike trip in Ladakh - not only did they patiently answer each question, but also organised my permits and motorbike for me, helped me plan the route, gave advice on the necessary provisions and stored my excess luggage during my 5 day trip. It is no exaggeration to say that were it not for them, my trip through Ladakh would not have been as memorable. Exceptional.”
“From the moment I arrived I was treated like royalty. The friendliness of the staff, and their eagerness to ensure I had the best possible experience during my stay was beyond reproach. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious, the wifi stable and relatively fast considering the property's location in the Nubra valley, and the food was delicious. Then there is the view - the Riverside Resort is located on the edge of the river which offers unobstructed views of the valley for each of the units - it is nothing short of spectacular. I travelled around India for 3 weeks and stayed at quite a number of guesthouses and homestays during this time - the Riverside Resort was undoubtedly one of my favourites.”
