The hotel comes into two different building. For the hot spring you need to go into a different building either by 4 minutes walk or take the hotel shuttle. When you visit during the winter time, it makes you discourage to go to their hot spring. Wish both buildings got their own hot spring. The other building is under renovation, I can foresee once that completed, the room rates would go higher. I love their chain hotel offer mikimoto spa facilities. Wish I find that out earlier they have facial available then I would have plan things differently. As their facial and body massage service starts at 3pm.

Rooms are fully renovated . Very clean. I love hotels that use high end hair dryers. It just makes the whole experience more luxurious. This hotel use the Refa brand hair dryer. 😍 been always want to try their hair dryers. The staff are extremely helpful in helping us to bring luggages to room. Which I always appreciated this service. As it is heavy and after a long day visiting many attractions, when you come to a hotel that really take care of you the moment you step into the lobby makes every penny of the money well worth it. The breakfast is good. Love their pudding and homemade tofu. Not commercial taste at all. Nice ocean view.

The Ocean wing is still in construction so the famous cafe and spot to view sunrise could not be accessed. A bit disappointed at this point. But surly it will be very nice after the renewal construction of the hotel.

The room is nice and comfy. The French resto dinner is really nice. It did cost but the food made up for it.

The view from the room overlooking the ocean and islands was incredible! The modern suite room was spacious and the beds and couches were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the restaurant spaces and hot spring at adjacent hotel, Shioji-tei.

It’s an older property that is showing its age. Like Toba in general, it’s clear that its heyday was 30-40 years ago.

The hotel has a great view. It’s on a hill, so the layout of the hotel is awkward.

It would be easier if there was a clearer walking path to directly walk by the road to the sister hotel for the sister hotel.

Lovely view of the ocean from our bed! We enjoyed the Japanese dinner and breakfast spread is also excellent. Although there is no onsen in the hotel, getting a free shuttle to the sister hotel is a breeze. The complimentary coffee and toasted marshmallow is nice touch as we get to gaze at the moon.

Overall the property was excellent. The only slight inconvenience was the onsen being located in the nearby sister property - only 1 minute ride by shuttle.

It was very hard to find the way from the highway. Clear signs would have helped a lot. Even after calling for directions, things were not clear.

Staff was always really friendly and ready to help when needed. Room was very spacious and comfortable, and the sea view was amazing (just a bit bright in the morning). The cafe serves nice coffee and cakes, and we also really enjoyed the pearl hot bath. The hotel also uses mikimoto products in the rooms, which really adds a premium touch. There is also a shuttle bus to and from the train station, which I would recommend using since the hotel is uphill. All in all, would highly recommend if you are visiting Toba.

The Hotel picked us up at the train station even when it was outside the scheduled hours. It was truly amazing because we told them that we will get a taxi if we arrive later than the latest pick-up time. But there they were waiting at the train station for us. Breakfast - very good. Dinner- we had Japanese dinner on the first night and French dinner on the second night. Both was excellent. Full marks to the Sommelier for the excellent wine pairing to go with the meal. Menus were personalised with ny name printed on it - a very thoughtful gesture- which makes it a worthwhile souvenir to keep. Very friendly and helpful staff spealing excellent English.

Disappointed on the toilet at harbour view wing, didn’t match the pictures showing in website, not renovated, old but luckily clean). Without Onsen in their property, guest need to walk through a silent corridor and path outside, no people around, a bit scary in the night time it takes 7 mins to their sister hotel. I have considered not to go but finally tried not bad.

The staff were friendly and helpful and always attentive if needed. The view from the room and the breakfast restaurant were beautiful. The location is up a very steep hill from the train station, without an obvious footpath, but there is a regular hotel shuttle bus. The onsen in the adjoining hotel was beautiful. The crushed pearls in the water were a lovely surprise.
