  • Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - North Riverside, an IHG Hotel Review score: 8.3

    “I was looking for a hotel in Amsterdam that would be relatively close to the center, with a comfortable, clean room, and at the same time relatively affordable. I chose Holiday Inn Express and I am satisfied. The hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. To be in the very center you need just a short walk or a minute's bike ride, and then a free ferry runs every few minutes in both directions ( 3 minutes to cross the water) This ferry transport has its own atmosphere. It is also close to the metro, about 700m, although we only used it when returning to the airport. Great location. The rooms are modern and clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast is monotonous (basic - the same thing every day but plenty of it), you can generally eat enough. There are two nice markets right next to the hotel. Staff helpful. Wi-fi worked flawlessly. To sum up, it's a nice place to stay in the city, a real 3*. Nothing to complain about, but also nothing to really admire.”

    “Friendly and helpful staff very comfortable beds and the showers are fabulous toiletries are very nice also. The room I booked wasn't ready so got an upgrade the room was very nice and modern and comfortable great having a mini fridge and nice coffee available. Lovely view of rhe river and short walk to the metro line into the city.”

    “The location was very good. Our room was very large, spacious and clean. The view was beyond perfect. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a mini fridge, albeit empty. There was everything we could need, such as an iron.”
