Heat. We had to ask twice during our three day stay in a private room to turn on the heat. This required a trip down three flights of stairs each time. We're in our late 60s. The stairs are demanding.

ROOM is a friendly place, with a great staff that is very accommodating. The breakfast is good with fresh local danishes every morning. ROOM is a very nice Hostel. In our youth we would have ranked it one of the best.

The location was great. The private bedroom (love) was cozy and quiet. Breakfast was rich and tasty and the main lounge lobby is super cozy , with a good vibe for both relaxing and socializing. Perfect place for a short stay and in a hostel mood..the staff was really friendly and helpful.

As it was super cold outside, they could have turned the heating on in the breakfast/social area. Some more hooks on the walls in the dorms to hand clothes/coats etc while sleeping would have been good.

The ambience and feel of the place is cool and very inviting. All possible facilities were available. The staff were amazing - so friendly, accommodating and helpful. If the weather outside is frightful, then there's plenty of books & magazines to read, a piano to play, and super kitsch ornaments and crockery added to the feel of the breakfast/social area. The cages under the beds were a super idea for keeping items safe and were a great size. Other guests were pleasant which is good when sharing a dorm with strangers.

There are a lot of stairs, so if you are coming with a suitcase, you should be aware of that. The rooms could be a bit cleaner is my opinion for example we had a cattle in my room which was probably not cleaned in years from the looks of it. The matresses are quite worn.

The staff is super friendly and happy to support with anything. There are lockers in the basement (you have to pay to use them though) and there is a bar in the hostel were you can have breakfast and snacks during the day. I also appreciated that the beds had curtains which is not always the case.

It was quite loud as I was above the bar. And people were loud in the corridors while going up to their rooms. Not much can be done about that. However I was exhausted so fell asleep pretty much instantly.

I was in the festival room and it was decorated really nice. The bed was comfortable too. The staff were really helpful and even offered to bring my bag up. I liked that the rooms are secure and you can use the Goki app to enter.

Staff were really helpful and polite, comfortable beds with your own shelf and electric socket, cages under the beds to lock your belongings, in the bathroom under the shower lots of shelfs, nice hostel especially for the students because the interior design has a cool vibe, i met there such a nice people

Communicative host, friendly, nice welcome, easy check-in and check-out. It's easy to get there, very close to the city and the port. Friendly and clean. The bar is noisy but closes early, so it is ok.

Got an other room than I booked which was for 8 females instead of 6 as advertised.

Hostel ROOM is a cute hostel in the middle of Rotterdam where the people are really nice.

The system of the room key being on the phone made it really uncomfortable as the code didn't work and several people in our dorm were locked out in the middle of the night.

Its so super noisy from the street and hostel bar patrons drinking outside. They did provide earplugs but only one pair was left in our twin room so my partner had a decent sleep until i had to close the window for some sleep and then it got too hot. I understand that it comes with the location but tiny fans in the room would really help the situation in summer months so you dont have to choose between sleep or air.. It did help us leave early (4am) which got us nice and early to our next destination..

The staff was really nice and it looks quite cute, it definitely has a "woman's touch!" And the location is very good.. which for us came with a downfall..
