“Nice location, near nature and trail to Yumbilla. The food at site was good and reasonably priced.
A dog followed me (by his own choice) on the hike which was a nice thing.”
“Chachapoyas culture in general is amazing, really authentic Hostel experience, Horus is really adorable,AMO The kitchen, hot showers, the hosts are very helpful.
It is not luxurious but It is better.”
“The location is perfect! Being right on the main square so you are ready to book your tours or find a place to eat very easily. But the pictures show the hotel in a better state than it is now. The hotel is very 'tired' at the moment. There is renovations occurring right now, i am not sure how long they will be going on but i hope the end result is what is depicted in the photos because it could be a very cute and cosy colonial hotel. I did have a couple of issues while there and the staff really did try to be helpful although it was a bit slower than i was comfortable with, but in the end they took on board my feedback and it was a pleasant stay.
The fact they had a desk in the room was a main reason of my choice to stay here as i had to work while i was staying. The wifi was fine for my working hours, including video calls.
Overall, it was pleasant, cosy and did the job of a place to stay after a long day out on the tours.”
“the owner is a gem! he is very kind and helps you in any way you would need. it’s like a family place. i loved my stay at aventura and 100% recommend!”
“The Shale is very basic but ok for the cost, working out at around £10 per person per night and that was for a single room. The staff were friendly and helpful.”
“This property is amazing! Such a beautiful and peaceful area, the accommodation was very comfortable, clean, and luxurious. Breakfast was made to order by an onsite cook. Bathroom was nice and clean, soap is provided. Location is great - right beside the trail leading to the Gocta waterfall. All in all I highly recommend.”
“GoctaLab was more than I expected. Incredible place, amazing people, delicious food. It’s a prefect place to go alone to reconnect with nature or with family and kids for some fun adventures. The experience is beyond superb!”
