  • Saucy Mary's Hostel Review score: 8

“Towels, tea & coffee making was not on web site so pleasant surprise. Breakfast was good.”

  • Dunvegan Camping Pods Review score: 10

“John's hospitality and the comfortable pod was further made even better by the location. The pod has everything one need and the attention to small detail is evident. This was our best stay on the trip so far and worth the drive and trek to get there. No fuss check-in and the bakery down the street is a once in a lifetime experience.”

  • The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair Review score: 8

“Great place to stay as our bedroom had sea views and was very quiet and comfortable.”

  • Portnalong Pod Review score: 9

“We appreciated the thoughtful extras of treats as well as breakfast provisions. Angela was very helpful in telling us about the area and the best places to go.”

  • Old Nurses Cottage Review score: 10

“A great position for travellers with a car, short distance to Portree and centrally located between the north and south attractions (Quirang/The Storr and Fairy Pools/Talisker Distillery). Fiona was a lovely and gracious host, offering us a wee dram on arrival, and accommodating our preference for plunger coffee. We also got to meet her new Bichon Frisé puppy, and slightly older but just as adorable toy poodles 😍 Bonus points too - if you do want to visit a distillery or two, they run one of the only Taxi services on the island and will get you safely home! We will be back to Skye and would love to stay with Fiona again.”

  • Portree Independent Hostel Review score: 9

“The hostel is right at the town centre and there is seaview from the well-equipped kitchen. Sufficient number of toilets and bathrooms which is very important when staying at a hostel, and there is even a drying room for wet hiking gear. Very friendly staff.”

  • The Caledonian Review score: 10

“The Caledonian is right at the town centre with a co-op/supermarket just round the corner. Very clean and quiet room with excellent breakfast included in the room price. Friendly snd helpful staff too. I also like their restaurant just downstairs — their home-made ice-cream is a must!”
