  • Apartments at The Black Review score: 10

“The rooms were spacious and spotless. It was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. As the weather was good we were able to make use of the private patio area to sit and have drinks and dinner. It was also good as we had our dog with us.”

  • Collingwood Arms Hotel Review score: 10

“Beautiful Hotel, greeted with a warm welcome at reception, taken to our tastefully decorated room explaining the information about the beautiful restaurant and meal times.”

  • Harbour Inn Review score: 10

“What a lovely place to break my journey to Scotland and find out what the Amble puffin festival is all about. The room is a large suite with incredibly comfortable bed, open top bath and separate shower room. Sparkling water and orange juice as well as tea and coffee and croissants were all provided. The food in the pub was outstanding with a seafood bias. The Harbour Inn is literally a step from the harbour with beautiful views down the estuary to Warkworth Castle and out o sea to Coquet Island. I would definitely like to return!”

  • The Bondgate Boutique Review score: 8

    “Did not do breakfast.”

  • “Beautiful grounds. Staff were great. Initial impressions of the room and public areas were positive.”

  • The Victoria Hotel Review score: 4

“Good selection on the buffet, nice to have freshly cooked hot food. However the eggs were often undercooked, whether boiled, fried or scrambled.”

  • Beach House Hotel Review score: 10

“We received a warm, friendly welcome. A clean and well maintained room. A fridge and tea/coffee making facilities and some complementary shortbread biscuits were a nice touch. Beautiful scented shower soap, shampoo and conditioner. Very quiet location, comfortable beds, small enclosed patio, easy access to the carpark for packing and amazing food.”

  • George Hotel Review score: 8

“Use of facilities, swimming pool, steam room etc., showing signs of age but still functional.”

  • YHA Berwick Review score: 9

“For a youth hostel, despite basic furnishings in the room, this proved an excellent choice for a short stopover. Not stayed in a YHA for many years, but the heritage building was lovely, the facilities good, and the location was second to none. Will definitely be back, and then make use of the excellent shared kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful.”

  • Eshott Hall Review score: 5
