Need to have good mobility to manage the several wooden steps. Shower controls were reversed and it was difficult to get the temperature correct.

Very spacious bungalows, set in pretty grounds and with a small pool. Staff were very helpful and responsive. On the beach and with lovely views across the bay.

The showers are plumbed incorrectly so that the hot tap is actually cold and the cold tap gives you scolding hot water - be warned. Took us a few days to work this out! The steps up to the bungalows are uneven but once you get used to it it’s ok, not for people with poor mobility.

The staff were very friendly and helped with all our questions, particularly about activities. The pool was a delight, small but perfect to cool off. The Location couldn’t be better! Right on the beach in a quiet corner. It was perfect!

Lovely pool area and the garden here is really taken care, massive respect to the two gardeners who were very friendly and took great care of the pool area. The clean pool is good for swimming and has a view of the hills and beach and white plastic sunbeds, (that offer some shade). The room itself is pretty basic and didn't get cleaned over our two night stay. The bed was hard, pillow not good either but the AC works well, and the WiFi was good in the room. The location is on the beach via some wooden stairs - the shops & restaurants are very near by. The beach is pretty decent especially around the other side, which is walkable. There are a couple of good restaurants/ bars on the beach and a superb Indian restaurant just up the road, if you fancy a change of cuisine. The hotel had an okay breakfast, location for breakfast is really nice as right near the beach.

There really isn't much to say against this pretty place. If I have to mention one thing, I would recommend to do a bit more effort to hide what's under some of the houses (old junk).

The houses are spacious and very clean. Each house has it's own balcony/terrace and there is quit some privacy. The bathroom is also spacious, comfortable and it comes with soap and shampoo. The houses are super cozy and the windows in front of the very comfy bed can be opened, giving the idea of sleeping outside. At the center of the little park is a nice nearty kept garden with a swimmingpool. Included in the price is breakfast (as you wish, not those usual tiny breakfasts), daily fresh water, and coffee in the room. So nice to wake up at the balcony, with a coffee and the sounds of birds all around. The Bamboo Bay offers some nice additional restaurants and bars (some with live music and fireworks). It is possible to swim in the bay (no dangerous animals or rocks). The national park and some beautiful view points are nearby. Go here:if you seek peace, nature, privacy, good value for money, are with your family, loved one (it's pretty romantic) or just want to be on your own. Don't go here: if you want to party, meet other (drunk) tourists, or seek active night life. Special thanks to the super customer oriented staff, including the gartner who kept the garden so nice and clean. Great job!

I stayed here before 5 years ago and really liked it back than. The maintanance is bad and it felt more like a very basic hotel now instead of the very good hotel I remembered. At checkin the receptionist wanted to charge 6% on the creditcard (it's 3% everywhere in Thailand + the big sign behind the reception states that as well). After a call with the manager it was 3.

The location: the bay is beautiful, the restaurants over there too. The bed was ok. NP is fairly closeby (with scooter).

People were walking under my bungalow to the car parking place and to the main road.

Beautiful location near by the sea. Big bungalows. From my room there was nice view to the pool and I could also see a little bit to the sea. On the other side of the pool the bungalows are little bit higher so they have more privasy and mountain view over the pool and bungalow.

only issue was the WiFi was down in our bungalow for the first 2 nights so we could only access it on reception or by the edge of the pools, which was a bit annoying.

The bungalows are dark and dingy. See attached pictures. They charge you 4% on credit card payments, for the accomodation. Unlike most places who charge you 3%, which is extortion enough. I had to report a lizard in my room twice. The second time I asked to be moved. Don't stay in number 11. I had a critter staying in the beam above my bed. I am actually quite traumatized by the experience especially as I asked them to remove the lizards, instead they killed them. The lighting in the room was terrible. I will not be returning!

Moskitos, monkeys and cockroach and noise from street. Rooms was very dirty , we have lots of mold in AC. Very unhealthly. This accomodation offer that its on the beach . Its not true. Accomodation is near beach where is little port with boat so forgot that you will swim there . The room are was old and should have deep renovation and clean. We dont feel good in this room. Not worth this price. You can find much better accomodation.

Our door didn't lock, and would swing open if we didn't put a chair in front of it. We use a makeshift thing with rope at night to keep the door from shifting with the wind. Also the door is the only window in the room so not a ton of lighting.

The location is fantastic, right by a swimmable beach. There was a mosquito net, sandals in the rooms, a mini-fridge, and a lovely balcony. The AC worked great and the shower was nice! The bar had great mai tais too :)

On booking.com rated 4* maybe 10 years ago!!! Too expensive for the rating! It was very out of date & badly needed updating & maintenance. The rustic stairs were unstable, rickety, not level & not safe! The room dark like a cave - poor lighting. Windows & doors were filthy & badly needed maintenance. Pleased we only booked one night...... Staff were not friendly & no one helped with baggage.
