“I was living in a dorm room, that was clean and quiet. Each two-floor bed was separated from others with wooden wall, so there was privacy to the extent to which it is possible in a dorm room. Bed was soft and cosy. The hotel has facilities for ski such as tuning room, drying room, room with public washing machine. I was given a locker, which was big enough to store snowboard and all personal belongings. There is a restaurant room and a common room with bar, where people can play pool and table games for free. Prices in the restaurant for food were quite low. Staff was friendly and willing to help in case of questions. No hidden cleaning fees (at least while accomodating in dorm room). Breackfast was included in the price. The stay was very pleasant and I definitely recommend this place.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Alpin Hotel Garni Eder. Christina and her husband Markus really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They are very knowledgeable about the local area and recommend walks for us every day. We were offered free use of their Smart car and electric bicycles and Christina recommended some good restaurants which were much better than those on the main street in Mayrhofen - she even booked tables for us and dropped us off on one occasion! The breakfasts were delicious and slightly different every day. The hotel is located on a quiet street on the edge of town just a few minutes walk from the centre.The room was spacious and clean with a good view of the mountain from the balcony. Truly the most enjoyable hotel stay I've ever had largely down to Christina's excellent service.”

“Just back from a week’s skiing in Mayrhofen and my first stay in the Hotel Garni Jennewein. I was not at all disappointed! Petra and her family make you feel very at home and always around to help. It’s only bed & breakfast here which was fine for me having a great choice of restaurants close by and eating lunch up on the mountain. The breakfast was indeed plentiful with a good choice of cereals, cold meats, cheese, eggs, bread, in fact all you need! The location was perfect with less than a 5 min walk to the main Penkenbahn ski lift. Also very close to the Supermarket, a bank , several restaurants and a chemist. There is a heated ski rack for your boots and plenty of room for ski storage. The Sauna/Wellness facilities are excellent and maintained to a suburb standard, for a hotel of its size the Sauna facilities are by far one of the best I’ve used and would put many a five star hotel to shame! My room was a double since it was my choice to pay extra being on holiday and upgrade to a bigger room with bath and fridge etc. The room was spotless and cleaned every day, with a nice large flat screen TV on the wall opposite the bed. Wi-Fi was provided free of charge and I had no problems to connect both my IPhone and Lap Top to the hotel network. All in all a great place to stay in Mayrhofen and if I should be back in town I will be giving them a call!”

We also liked that the cleaning fee included in the price made our departure much more relaxed than we had experienced in the all in packages we had in France. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was within reasonable walking distance to the lifts (Ahorn and Penkenbahn) and the elevator was very convenient. Top location! As a side note, the board on front of the dishwasher came detached on the first day. After a quick call to reception, it was fixed the same day while we were out on the piste! What service! We highly recommend this for couples or families. We were with a group of 9 adults and 2 children and rented 3 separate apartments. Perfect!”

There is a bus stop about 400m from the house, but you have to climb a small hill to get there. The bus runs about every 20 mins to the lift stations. A cab to downtown Mayrhofen is 10€. The Penken lift station can be reached by foot in 10-15 minutes. The WiFi connection is very good but costs 16€ extra per week. You have a bread roll delivery service in the morning that comes at a good price.”

“We were also there for the Altitude Comedy Festival and the main shows were in the Europahaus which was just over 100 meters away. Brilliant, considering I didn't know the location of the shows when I booked. We had driven down from Amsterdam and there was a parking place for the car. This also meant we could drive to the Horbergbahn or Ahornbahn so no need to walk (it is about 700 meters to the nearest lift, the Penkenbahn) or get the ski bus. Perfect. We were able to get into the apartment earlier than the advertised time after contact with the owners. Very helpful. After contact with the owners I was able to arrange that my daughters got separate beds in their room. Accommodation was perfect with enough room and enough kitchen facilities (oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher etc.) although with the heavy schedule of skiing and Comedy Festival we only used the kitchen for breakfasts and eat out in the evening. Supermarket is about 100 meters away. I recommend the Bauchspek for breakfast.”
