“Most beautiful place we've stayed in our 6 weeks travelling Asia. Stunning views over the lakes. Very simple accommodation but don't need more. It gets a little chilly so bring a jumper! Family are so lovely and welcoming, music and dancing in the evening. We went for dinner one night at the view which was also stunning, would recommend! We rented a car from the airport and drove up. Only $14 a day and was really useful to have to drive to market, waterfalls, restaurant. The property is higher than the lake, looking down on it, not next to it as some people thought otherwise. Highly recommend!”

“This place saved our holiday in the mountains. We were staying at a dreadful place a couple of miles away and booked this last minute at around 11pm. The owner picked us up almost immediately and drove us to his place for free. All of the staff are really friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, clean and comfy. It felt like a 5 star hotel in comparison to where we were previously. The view from the balcony is amazing and the free breakfast was the best we've had in Bali! They provide you with a map and talk you through the area and it's many waterfalls which are all within walking distance. They can also arrange a driver for a cheap price to wherever you want and the laundry service was so quick and smelt amazing! I honestly couldn't recommend this place and the staff more. If you're going to this area make sure you stay here.”

“The complex is small and well maintained & the very clean rooms are large with almost comfortable large beds & semi comfortable pillows. The room has a cupboard, dresser, mirror, no bedside tables, 2 power outlets, dull lighting, mosquito net, free drinking water, an average sized bathroom, 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels, bath mat & a hot water shower. There was a small table & 2 small chairs plus a 4 seater dining table & chairs on the terrace. The lovely owner lives on site & has very good English. The views from the terrace are great & the internet, available in all areas, was fast enough. There are a few warongs & small supermarkets nearby, it was easy to find (Booking.com had it in the correct location on the map) & very well managed. Look for the bright blue roof & the sign as shown on the website (only visible if coming from Kuta). A motorbike is almost essential both to get here & get around. The scenery around the area was very nice, especially the lakes & mountains. The breakfast was lovely consisting of a mixed fruit plate, 2 slices of fried bread, jam & honey and the best coffee & tea. The ambient temperature was lovely compared to the October heat on the coast. No fan or airconditioner was required in the room. A most enjoyable stay despite the noise. The 2 lake photos are nearby & not visible from the room.”
