“Our stay at Yao Yai Beach Resort felt absolutely surreal. It was the perfect location, walked out of our comfortable bungalow onto a beautiful beach. The ocean was still and perfect for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The staff was friendly and attentive. The resort was quiet and relaxing. They immediately accommodated us despite us showing up hours before check in. We found plenty of things to do and see on the island. The food at the resort is delicious and very reasonably priced, and the local restaurants around the island are worth a visit too. The fire show put on by the beach resort was awesome and just capped off a perfect holiday. I would absolutely recommended Yao Yai Beach Resort'”

“The spot is very quite nice and easy to find when you arrive to the pier from Phuket. All the staff is amazing and the pool is really new. Best rooms are the one with sea view. It's really a good experience for the price they ask. Another great thing to do: visit the island with scooter they rent for 200bath all day. And tours they sell in the village is a great option: please go to Koh hong!!! Must see! Amazing! Near the hotel you have a quite nice bar with drinks and alcohol. (not easy to find in the island and it's very close and nice atmosphere, relax...) I will definetly come back again.”

“As soon as we arrived in Phuket, we wanted to leave. It's busy, people are rude and it's not very pretty. Ko Yao Yai is far far less developed and as a result far far less tourists go there. We found Heimat Gardens on booking.com and thought we would give it a go and I'm so glad we did. Yamilia was helpful in emailing us a few suggestions on how to get to the island as there isn't much info for Ko Yao yai online. She said to head to Loh Chak / Loh Jark pier as it's closer to then get a taxi to Heimat. Taxi will cost 400 baht. On arrival we were given a fruit smoothie but my wife cannot have banana so they immediately made her one with mango and pineapple. The rooms are just as pictured. Simple but large and clean and set back from the main road down a 100 metre newly paved concrete road. Yamilia had our bags taken to the room while we had our drink. Heimat has a great restaurant which we ate in several times and the breakfasts are very tasty as well. We loved it here so much we stayed an extra 2 nights and would have stayed longer but we have to fly home tomorrow so it's impossible to stay any longer than we already have. The island itself is very quiet and sleepy. Don't come here if you want loud bars or stupid touristy attractions. You will be disappointed. We hired a bike from yamilia and just explored the island every day and sunbathed on one of the many beaches.”
