Our 40+ homes are spread all across the New Forest, in picture postcard villages like Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and Burley…where the pace is slow and the ponies roam free… To the wilder north of the Forest, near Fordingbridge, down to the glorious coastal walks at Milford and Keyhaven, on to bustling Lymington with all its Georgian charm.

Just 45 seconds walk from the quay and coastal path, castles and bird reserves. The cottage is smart, bright, and the upstairs bedroom has great views of the Isle of Wight and Solent water. Milford village 1 mile away has masses of foodie options. One small dog welcome.

Staying here you must walk in the Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve. Keyhaven forms part of the coastal zone of the New Forest National Park and The Keyhaven and Pennington Marshes Reserve is a beautiful area of coastline characterised by mudflats and salt marshes and is of international importance. It’s renowned for the large numbers of breeding, feeding and roosting birds that it supports throughout the year. The area is grazed by New Forest ponies and cattle. Another nice walk is from the house to Hurst Castle Spit and then walk along the spit towards Milford on Sea and have breakfast / lunch / tea / morning coffee or Ice creams at the newly opened ‘RAFT ROCKS’ Bistro / Café / Bar at Marine House, Hurst Road on the water front and walking back go via Sturt Pond at the families of swans and signets that gather there. The beach at Milford on Sea is a 20 minute walk and is lovely. If you’re going up there without kids then make sure you’ve got a visit to Verveine Fish market Restaurant booked in in advance – superb. The New Forest area is 2 hours drive south of London. The city of Southampton is to the East, and Bournemouth is to the West but there are no major built up areas between. The New Forest is 300km square of beautiful forest and heathlands. It is coastal and The Solent is part of the English Channel. The small and agricultural Isle of Wight is part of the view from the beaches and coast to the south. The New Forest area is mainly flat with some rolling hills in the northern area. Walking and cycling here is particularly excellent. Tracks are well marked, have a good hard surface and you can detour to pass pubs and cafes in good distances for breaks. Horse riding is also excellent, bring your own or there are several good stables who offer forest rides or training. Dog walking here is lovely and dogs are welcome everywhere (including the coast) but should be on leads in spring and summer in heath areas for the migrating birds. Access is...
