We had a great couple of nights on board the Zen Dog, I took my two boys (9 & 11) and they loved the novelty of staying & sleeping on a boat. It was also comfortable and the YouTube video the owner sent made the check-in very smooth. We enjoyed eating out at the Haven Restaurant (a few minutes walk away) aswell as in Lymington. The boat is well situated for walks as well as for getting to the Isle of Wight. I used the shower on the boat and found it to be good, but for ease I used the nearby facilities for showering the children and they were excellent.

Zen Dog is perfectly equipped for a short stay self catering holiday with a difference. She's what's known as a "coded charter boat" which means she is inspected annually for safety and is fully insured for guests. She sleeps 4 in 2 cabins. master has a king sized bed, smart TV and ensuite access to the small wet room (shared with 2nd cabin) with WC, basic shower (best to use the great 5-star showers in marina building) & basin. The 2nd cabin has a smart TV, and either twin beds or a near king sized bed (we'll ask you what you want after booking). There's a saloon sitting area with a 32" smart TV, galley kitchen with microwave, kettle and Dolce Gusto Coffee machine. There are no cooking facilities on Zen Dog but who needs them when Lymington's restaurants are so close by? - particularly the Haven's own excellent restaurant and bar. There's warm air central heating and a portable air con unit. There's 240v electric sockets and a hair dryer. Upstairs, the roof slides electrically to open up the boat to the sun. There are 2 separate seating areas both with tables, the rear canvas covers roll up and the rear table drops to form a sunbed. There's another sunbed on the front deck.
Zen Dog, named after our daughters' favourite poem, is a very modern, immaculate, well appointed and thoroughly beautiful Prestige Motor Yacht, berthed in Lymington's beautiful and tranquil Yacht Haven (the 2016 "marina of the year") overlooking the Solent and the Isle of Wight. Zen Dog has been available to rent since March 2017 on other sites and we have fantastic reviews. Our prices quoted here are for your sole use of the whole boat - providing accommodation for up to four people in 2 decent cabins and with full use of the Marina's facilities.
Lymington Yacht Haven offers free parking and has excellent 5-star showers. Lymington town with its excellent facilities, shops and restaurants is a 15-20min walk along the river. Lymington open air swimming baths (check opening times) are a short stroll away along a path. The Yacht Haven is at the start of a 5-mile waterside sea-wall nature trail - perfect for walking or cycling. There are pleasure boat trips from the Quay and the Isle of Wight ferry leaves from the other side of town.
