Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThe money you pay requires some lux but you don't quite get it. Room was supposed to be Deluxe (and was located in the Deluxe wing!), but didn't seem so - the pictures on their site are misleading and the room looked like the "normal" kind of double room, nothing deluxe about it and half the size of what is pictured for e deluxe room. The entry was so narrow that we bumped into our suitcase every time we went past the "suitcase holder" area. One of the nightstand lamps didn't work. The bathroom fan doesn't work. Some bathrobes are ok, some have torn pockets (we savaged some headphones that we dropped in the hall due to a half torn pocket), some - torn belt loops. Overall cleanliness was good, but i still had to clean an awful lot of dust from the bathroom heater so i could hang my bathing suit on it (the terrace is not appropriate to use because of some swallows nest, which i don't mind). Spa is too small for this size of hotel - one sauna, one steam bath, a fake salt room. Above - 3 jacuzzi that are also pools for children and a huge cold swimming pool (required cap for swimming). You should go in a season that allows you to use the outside pool, nothing inside is truly SPA. People at reception don't know what is offered in the "deluxe spa zone on 1st floor" but what is offered there is a just list of procedures, there are no more utilities to use. The menu could be copied for the main reception so you don't need to go there separately to check that one list. Breakfast is tolerable, but definitely not good - products are of the cheaper kind (salami, juice, banitsa), bread is stale and only one kind, scrambled eggs are dry, macaroni are odd and bad - with sugar AND cheese at the same time, french tost is really bad - too greasy on the outside, too dry on the inside. What was good at breakfast was the bought stuff - mini croissants, chocolate roll, fruit, pate.
Garden is marvellous! Outside pools are nice. Big parking.

United KingdomThe outdoor pools hot tubs etc are a bit of a short walk and not fully attached to the building but for is is fine. Perhaps older people will struggle with the steps.
Very large private ground ,very green surroundings, plenty of pools in and out and spa was brilliant. Breakfast was top. Went out to have dinner and found brilliant restaurant 15min walk. Top local place to eat. Secure hotel. Glad we went there.

BulgariaPillows in deluxe rooms should be renewed. Sunbeds should be cleaned on a regular basis.
Very clean and well maintained public areas. We were surprised by the hospitality of the reception desk, typically the weakest department, but maybe some changes were made and we could feel the results. Well done. It was a very relaxing stay as a whole.

BulgariaIts not complaint and didn't ruined the overall impressions (so, rather small advices to the hotel management): > Poor reception services - the staff should explain if there are answers and not refer to: "there is information on a leaflet on your room" - well there was not a leaflet (may be taken by previous guest). It is especially valid for the SPA reception desk - since there a Ayurveda therapies listed only by "Vedic names" - the clients need more information than price and duration. Very disappointing attitude. The young lady had a look "I was born tired - don't ask me anything". > Poor cleaning services in the Lobby bar - the carpet was quite dirty around the tables "behind the corner" - may be it's not so buys as the SPA zone but still needs attention > Poor drink options at the Bowling bar - you need just a small touch of extra ingredients and some easy basic cocktails will rise the quality of the place (Cuba libre, Bloody Marry, White Russian, Screwdriver - are just a half step away) > The door of the mini-bar was broken and everything inside was actually warm - somebody should check such issues, its unacceptable for a 4**** hotel > It will be very nice of you, if there is some relaxation music in the relaxation zone next to the sauna. It brings a lot of comfort. There was a mint/lavender scent in the steam bath in Saturday and not in Sunday and Monday, a bit disappointing. The scents are great idea. > The Panoramic restaurant offers French Rack of Lamb. The French standard is "medium rare" - I was not asked and expected some "medium" degree. Mine was far beyond "well done" - it was almost burned... So a kind of "Bulgarian rural lamb chop" but not a French rack. However, the asparagus and the red wine sauce were excellent (thus fixed the taste a bit). I advice that for such a dish the waiter should ask the client.
First of all, you need to know that there are two categories of rooms resp. services: Standard and Deluxe. My review is for the Standard package. The standard room is spacious enough, equipped with 2 "person and a quarter" beds (so if you like spooning or cuddling - any of the beds is ok. There was a nice balcony with a view to the garden and summer sport facilities (tennis, mini football, open air pool) - it could be noisy at the summer but was quiet and excellent in February. There was a tube in the bathroom and all that is needed. There is a mini bar (but that was a weak point - see below). The standard SPA zone is equipped with a sauna, a steam bath and a salt-desk. The indoor pool, the fitness, and the the jacuzzi zone are shared with bot Standard and Deluxe guests and are also free of charge. There are various massage options and two parallel massage rooms (so in general a couple could have treatments in same time slot). There is also a bowling bar with 6 alleys. There is a regular restaurant located at the ground floor (there is a block table with excellent breakfast options - from local bakery pies and yogurt, muesli with local honey to almost complete (without beans) English breakfast and French croquettes). There is a nice panoramic restaurant at the 5th floor (excellent salads, good fish list, nice wine list). There is a nice lobby bar, too, with 2 billiard tables. Due to the municipal Covid-19 regulations all the places (also in the town) close/stop serving by 10 PM (and that is why the Night club was not operating). We were exceptionally happy by the attitude and services of the staff in the Panoramic restaurant, the Bowling bar, the Pool safeguard/bartender, the Lobby bartender, and the Cleaning lady of the 2nd floor.

BulgariaSound proofing was non-existent. We could hear what was going on in other room. The room had dirty windows and we found ants in the bathroom. The spa was not cleaner regularly and you could see grime building up on glass and in corners.
The view from our room was spectacular. The hotel has many great facilities and is located right in the middle of the town.

BulgariaThe staff treated the guests as if we were an annoyance to them. We entered the restaurant 50 minutes before its closing time and one of the waiters looked at his watch and made a face at us. Next day we wanted to get coffee from the pool bar but the guy told us that he is going out to smoke and he will make us coffee when he returns. Also the hotel is like a labyrinth. We had to take one elevator 1 floor up, walk down an endless corridor and then take another elevator 3 floors down to get to our room.
The city and the location are great.

BulgariaThe outdoor pool didn't work and when I made reservation there wasn't information for this. The deluxe spa needs more cleaning, in fact I haven't seen anyone clean in two days. When I put notice ''do not disturb'' Infront of the door, the maid was still entering the room
The location was quiet and peaceful near to the centre. The food in the restaurant was delicious. There was a warm mineral pool in the deluxe area.

CanadaThe attitude and the fact that the staff did not wear masks (or wore them only on their chins or mouths!?). The staff allowed guests without masks to enter the restaurant for breakfast! Most of the guests are so ignorant of the Covid-19 pandemic, so we understand it's hard for the staff to impose any measures. We didn't feel safe. Also, almost all hotel guests smoked; there is no place to hide from the constant cigar smoke. We can't sit on the balcony, around the pool or at the cafe.
The location and the amenities are great! The deluxe spa is awesome and clean - at least you can breath there as it's indoor and no one smoked there.
