“Authentic Japanese style tatami room and bed. Location is good and the food provided are awesome. Open air private onsen is provided in the room. Definitely worth the price”
“I had a very nice and spacious room with both internal and external bathtubs. The dinner was excellent, and the breakfast was very good (Japanese style). The staff was nice, and the environment was quiet. It was a nice experience.”
“- spacious room for two people.
- the pillow is very comfortable and I slept very well with it!!
- staffs are all very nice and willing to help, even with limited English:-)
- the location is also perfect! Only 4-5 min walk from the west exit of the Echigo-Yuzawa station. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the same street.”
“Fantastic location just across from the JR Echigo Yuzawa station. Hotel is a little old, but the Japanese rooms are very well maintained, and the corridors have been renovated. The buffet breakfast and dinner has a very wide variety, but more importantly, of high quality! The onsen has 3 hot pools, one cold pool and a sauna.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Free use of coin lockers”
“Lovely old style hotel with hot spring. Clean room and good service. Next is a excellent Japanese bar (one-minute walk). It is wonderful for family with elevator and kid's playroom.”
“A cosy comfortable hotel in a ski town (though I was not there for winter sports). Easy access, since it was a short walk down the main road from JR Shinkansen Echigo-Yuzawa Station. While a modern hotel, and Japanese in style, it reminded me of Meiji period architecture where western elements were combined with traditional Japanese style. For example my room had tatami mats and a futon bed, but the futon was on a 15cm foam base and was set against the wall. Also the chairs were lower than standard western chairs, but higher than sitting on a cushion on the tatami mats. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the onsen with a view over the Shinkansen lines and the mountains beyond was very relaxing.”
“I like how the hotel staff take the messages seriously and replied it sincerely. Love the room, unexpected big. And also the nespresso coffee machine in the room really made my day!”
