    “What a beautiful Hotel Alpenblick is. I'm not one to praise something that doesn't deserve it however this property is absolutely a 10 out of 10. The Hotel was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The property looks new as it is meticulously cared for and the room size was generous as was the bathroom. Out of all the Hotels we stayed in over 3 weeks, this was by far the best. It's not a typical Hotel, it has the beautiful Swiss feel of years gone by, a Gasthaus. The food in the restaurant was also 10 out of 10. The views of the countryside were absolutely stunning and just a minute of so up the road was the Ebenalp cable car up to Berggasthaus Aescher. The owners of the property were lovely, warm and friendly as too were the staff.”

    “This hotel is located in the old town of Appenzell. It’s a short level stroll from the train station. My bed was very comfortable & the bedroom had traditional paintings & features which added to the charm. I found the staff to be welcoming & helpful. The breakfast was delicious & a great start to the day. I was really, really happy that they were able to provide some extra gluten free products for me as I am a coeliac. I stayed two nights here & thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property is exactly as described on the website.”
