“The room was very spacious throughout our trip, and the dinner and breakfast were great. The onsen facilities, with a tolerable temperature, were also excellent. The staff was very welcoming, and the hotel even drove us to the station when we checked out, which was a great help.
I will book again if I decide to stay at Hakone for the night in my next trip in the future.”
“Most of the staff were lovely and helpful. There were lots of amenities available including free yakult, coffee milk, pork buns etc. We didn’t really wait long for the shuttle bus to bring us to and from the station and it’s just a short walk to 7-11. If you’re staying here, would recommend taking the bus to Hakone checkpoint to start the loop then ending at Gora to take the railway back as it seemed less crowded than the other way round. Worth stopping by Gora Brewery which is close by if you have time. Outdoor onsen was quite nice if you managed to get one. Gift shop had a good selection with 10% off in the evening.”
“The ambience for the living room is cozy especially the firepit.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, even though the conversational in English are limited.
The food (breakfast and dinner) is felt like home cook.
Toilets amenity are fully equip (hair dryer, free shampoo body wash, even they have samples for hair and skin care).
Walkable to the hakone shirne and tori gate, if you wake up very early in the morning, you can enjoy lake ashi with local fishermen.
Overall, will rebook the place because the location is very strategic if you're planning to go to hakone tori gate with no que.”
“The meal-include option is highly recommended as the hotel serves authentic Japanese (washoku), both on dinner and breakfast. Some of the dishes are pre-prepared and served before guests enter the restaurant and only have a single menu (it is why you need to pick a time for meal when check-in).
And most of all, hot spring! It is my first hot spring experience in Japan and I must say it totals meet my expectation. The public outdoor bath has beautiful view and even features a garden. The private bath is also recommended particularly for couple or family to enjoy the time just for themselves.
I also quite like their store. Yutaka is a must in every hot spring hotel in Japan so totally not surprised, but they even have Haori? I just could't restrain myself to grab one that I think is a good addition with my own yutaka.”
“The rooms are cosy and clean, the stuff is very helpful and professional. There are all the facilities you need, it’s not far from Yokohama center, and 45 minutes from Tokyo. We went two times and we were always happy about our stay! Highly recommended!”
