  • 3 Maria Cottage Review score: 9

“Ibu Ayu and her husband Ronald are the owners of this cottage. They are very sweet and helpful. They also arrange the airport shuttle to and from the cottage. They also arrange sightseeing tours of the island and surroundings. Special thanks go to July and her aunt. The two lovely people were ready for us every day for breakfast and to prepare lunch or dinner on request. I was able to celebrate my birthday at this special location on April 4, it was awesome!”

  • Swiss-Belhotel Ambon Review score: 8

“Best hotel in Ambon. Super friendly staff especially at front desk, nice rooftop bar, plenty of breakfast choices, big room and ok gym facilities quiet and away off the busy streets. Good value massages”

  • “Beautiful location!”

  • Clean & Comfort Homestay Review score: 7

“It was clean and comfortable, staff friendly but spoke very little English. AC and WiFi worked.”

  • “Functional and good value for the price”

  • Ora Sunrise View Review score: 7

“The views, the remoteness, the bats at 18.27, the staff, the food and the overall ambience of the place. The village is very interesting and friendly. The boat trips are fabulous, you can enjoy the best reefs without another boat. A bit pricey as we were only two. On the plus side we were the only guests so our experience was very quiet and private. Irfan was really great with communication and arrangements for transport.”

  • Mercy Cottage Review score: 10

“Two bungaloes with quite unique design at the Ngurbloat beach 50 meters from the sea. There is a tiny swimming pool in the backyard, definitely not for swimming, but can dip your feet in a cool water and chill with a can of beer in the evening. Spent a week there and felt like home. Merlin, very nice and accommodating host, explained everything about the island and helped to arrange all the activities including airport transfer, scooter and mask/snorkel rent, boat trips to Pulau Baer and Ngurtavur. There is a kitchen at the front yard and a table to enjoy breakfast of nasi goreng or banana pancakes and proper dinner of chicken or fish in the evening, also local speciality fried bananas (pisang goreng). Wonderful Ms Elis is in charge of the kitchen and the person can ask to tidy up the room, she speaks English and was always present at the property.”
