Staff was very friendly and the hostel was clean. They have laundry service, a good kitchen if you need to cook but also a cafe downstairs where breakfast and lunch are available. The hostel has a lift, in case the luggage is too heavy to carry (3 floors). I stayed 2 more nights than the original booking :)”

“Have only good things to say. Good location (we rented a car but we saw there was a bus stop a few meters from the apartment) not inside the center but close enough, very clean, had all we needed, decor was simple, clean and tasteful. Comfortable beds, good shower. The owner a very nice person. We spent 4 nights there and felt like home. Went during the winter and even saw the Northern lights from there. I recommend it.”

“I loved my stay at Yrvo's place. Yrvo is a very kind and sweet person. He even offered me the lift to the airport. We did a tour of his area (I saw where he went to school when he was a kid, played hockey with his brother, went to the hospital, etc) and we stopped by the roof top of the Lapland Hotel Sky Ounasvaara with a great view on Rovaniemi before taking the old airport route. I definitely recommend his flat which is perfect for a solo traveler or 2 people, very well equiped and located just by the river. The view from this side of the city is charming and it is very quiet. I used the small sauna every evening after staying outside at -34 degrees. A real plus. It would have helped if I can speak Finnish. Yrvo went to pick me up at the airport whereas I told him that I was coming at his place with a rental car as I was already in Lapland! Misunderstanding. I felt sorry.”
