Really personal left my partner a birthday card and a present - bed was so comfortable and the appearance of the room was modern and stylish. “Excellent location! Very close to shopping and sights. Bus stops just steps from the front door. Parking is close and reasonably priced. Room was lovely and had nice big towels. Appreciated the outlets (European, American and British!) Special thanks to the staff for arranging our very early check-in. We arrived at 5 am planning to just drop our bags since we were so early but our room was ready for us to check in so we were able to take a nap and a shower and then enjoy the day. Thanks! Will definitely stay here again.”

“What a delight! I've never stayed in a hostel which was only 5 days old, and as a result everything was spotless, in full working order, and absolutely perfect. The splendid Italian manager and his charming staff had clearly worked for many hours and weeks to get everything ready, and it showed. So many little details had been carefully thought out, down to a boiling water machine rather than a kettle in the spacious and very well stocked kitchen. There were 2 cookers, 3 fridges, 2 microwaves and plenty of good IKEA crockery and cutlery. The kitchen and lounge are in the penthouse, giving excellent views over Dublin and the hills. Bunk beds were soft and comfortable, and very cleverly the 8 bed dorm was actually 2 interleading rooms of 4 beds, so it felt more private. Each dorm and communal room has its own WIFI router and code (all free and very fast) which you don't often see. There was only 1 shower room for each gender on my floor so there was a bit of queuing involved, but the bathrooms were spotless. Hot water was plentiful, hot and at good pressure. They've installed those large round shower heads which are so much better than the silly hose affairs. And they're at a good height for me at 6'4"! The hostel is in the Liberties area - a down to earth working class neighbourhood, but very safe and easy to reach from the city centre either on foot or by several buses - 40, 13 and 123. It was refreshing to stay somewhere not completely touristy and false. This was really a top class stay, and I hope very that the hostel succeeds and does well. The enthusiasm and hard work of the staff deserve to do well. Thank you so much.”

“Great location -- we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go in Dublin We booked W. B. Yeats Suite -- spacious, with roomy bathroom. Appreciated the Nespresso coffeemaker; many other nice touches (including a little gift). Despite location in busy Temple Bar, the suite was completely quiet. It's not a hotel – so don't expect a lobby, round-the-clock service, or an on-site restaurant or bar.”

“The property offers self serve options are great for making food etc. Just what you want if your self catering and you don't want to be tied to the hotel. I think it is great value for money and about 20 minute walk from the city centre. For me, I didn't want to be in the city centre, in a quiet location and I liked the walk. I would recommend Pia house, the price was reasonable and the staff was great. She was very service minded and tried to help us with everything we looked for; transportations, shops, restaurants, events, etc. (And she kept a bowl of candies at the entrance) BUT! One thing you have to be careful with - if you arrive with a taxi, be shure to give the driver the correct street number to Portland House: 555! There is another B&B close to, who´ll gladly take you without informing you about your mistake... which you´ll regret...”
