When it got closer to the 12th we moved to the Hotel Rosita because of it's close proximity to the starting point of the nightly processions that make their way the approximately 12 blocks to the Cathedral. On December 12th, the actual day of The Festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe we hotel guests were pleased to be included in the celebration and were given votive candles and song leaflets at the hotel whereupon we joined with the pilgrimage that left the hotel's reception area via the back gate and became one with the throng in the street, singing as we walked with the group sponsored by the Hotel Rosita. Throughout our stay we enjoyed the malecon and the shopping and other restaurants nearby. We relaxed over the 2 for 1 drinks during the hotel's Happy Hour and lolled around (and in) the pool where we met many other vacationers who come to Hotel Rosita every year. We appreciated the included continental breakfast, with the breakfast buffet available (for an upgrade) on weekends. Everyone who works at this hotel is pleasant and hard-working, and we were made very comfortable. This was our second stay at this hotel.”

“The hotel has been open for approximately 2 weeks. Everything was literally brand new, I felt like we were the first to sleep in room 324! Bed was comfortable and we loved the modern look of the room. The housekeepers did a great job every day and we made sure to acknowledged them for their work. The staff was fantastic from the second we arrived to the minute we left. Breakfast buffet cost $15 per person (included tip and tax) and we enjoyed it! Food was fresh and flavorful and they changed some items daily. We loved the pool area after a long day on the beach, nice long chairs and gazebo covered beds to relax on. The wait staff also came around the pool area to ask if we needed anything which was great! One of our favorite things was a table near the elevators on our floor that was stocked with water bottles, coffee and tea, all complimentary! Their gym is brand new, can literally smell the burning rubber on the treadmill as its so new. Great view in the rooms as well for our morning coffee. We highly recommend this if you are thinking to not do the all inclusive. Its tucked away inside a brand new Outdoor Outlet mall called "La Isla" that will surely be a massive hit in the coming years. Its about 30 minute walk from the Malecon walkway and 45 from the Romantic Zone which are places you HAVE to go to!”

The building has an almost industrial feel and is centred around a courtyard, with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and double height loft style communal lounge area. The decor is full of character with lots of attention to detail in the choice of art, vintage signs and quirky objects. The rooms are simply furnished, but super-comfortable with quality mattresses and linens. So many little touches make a difference. Touchpad entry on all doors so you don’t have to carry a key around. Solid reliable wifi was definite plus, as was the rooftop gym with a great view of the mountains. The location is perfect, being only one block away from the best of the gay bars in one direction, and a great selection of restaurants in the other, and still only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Best of all though, owners Ronnie and David are simply brilliant hosts, welcoming each new guest or group with the same care and attention. Advising where to go, introducing the other guests and organising drinks, meals or excursions for those who are interested… which is great for those travelling alone (as I was). They are also very supportive of local community causes, and it was a privilege to be able to get involved to some degree while there as a guest. The attention to detail that Ronnie and David put into all aspects of Piñata PV is echoed by their staff - lovely, friendly hardworking guys who keep the place absolutely spotless. This was my eighth trip to PV and Piñata is by far my favourite place that I have stayed.”

“The queen size bed was very comfortable. We booked Room 10. We enjoyed the views and the beautiful sunsets. The patio area was our favorite area to relax and have our morning coffee, and retire at the end of the night with a few cold ones. Very tropical and beautiful plantation on the patio, and the birds we lovely to listen too. There is a resident cat that made friends immediately with my husband. He was our friend and roommate during our stay. A very sweet cat and he waited upon our return each day. The staff are very friendly, helpful, always smiling, and you are sure to get a good morning/day from the staff everyday! :) We would book Room 10 again on our next visit to Puerto Vallarta. There is no air conditioner in the room, but there is a ceiling fan as well as a floor fan, and this was enough to keep us cool and comfortable. There are approx. 80 stairs to the top to Room 10. We didn't mind the walk up to our room, it was our exercise for the day. The location is close to the beach, only a 1/2 block from hotel. Also, the location is close to the old town (Romantic zone). Lots, and lots of restaurants close by, and shopping. We recommend La Terraza Inn.”
