The grounds were lovely, reception area was nice. The bar was open, but no one there to serve us a drink and when I asked if there was food available, it was just sandwiches. That's not a problem, but it did feel like there wasn't really anyone to make us sandwiches and the welcome could have been warmer.

The walk to the room wasn't hoovered, our bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and sanitary towels were in the bin. Red hot water from the tap but the shower was just about warm enough. We could hear everything from the room above, which was a surprise. The cooked breakfast was awful. I would strongly recommend anyone give this a miss.

Convenient for a funeral we had to attend. Bar prices very cheap! Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Too hot! Rooms were hot and not able to open window..no air con. Beds were also very hot. Huge synthetic duvets on each bed. Very dated decor. No bath mat.

Unfortunately the food served for breakfast and when we had dinner at the hotel restaurant was not great. It was clear that it had been reheated and not been made fresh. The dinner was very overpriced for subpar food that we unfortunately couldn’t finish.

The room was old and tired . Bath plug didn’t work . We had a z bed (£40 for the night !!) It was left outside our room to sort out with the sheets. We had to ask for tea & coffee for the room. A light bulb wasn’t working in one of the bathrooms . This didn’t spoil our stay but we have stayed here many times and never had any complaints , we were just disappointed with the lack of attention to detail .
