    “The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, particularly Xanthe and Anastasia on the reception desk and Stelios in the breakfast room where we had an excellent choice of breakfast every morning. Our Executive room was bright, modern and spacious and had a nice terrace with a view over the sea. It was kept very clean and tidy by Kristina and Alla who came in every day and were always smiling and cheerful. The hotel is very close to the centre of Plaka where there are very good restaurants and bars. It is a short walk down the hill to Almyrida where there is a good beach and further restaurants, bars and shops.”

    “This villa is absolutely out of this world - I looked at this property on the website and was sceptical, it seemed too good to be true and I really didn’t know what to expect, it was our first time booking a villa rather than a hotel complex. Those pictures are exactly what you get, huge gardens, your own pool, football pitch, fruit trees, bbq it really is breathtaking. Every amenity you could need. The hosts were so helpful, they were only a message away if we needed anything even just recommendations! You can see that there has been so much thought put into the property, the furniture is all antique, I couldn’t rate it highly enough. Worth every single penny! The area is spectacular, breathtaking views, a beautiful quiet area with shops, bars, tavernas local. I do recommend a hire car, we purposely wanted somewhere a little more out of the way than the main tourist areas so hired a car and the villa is perfectly situated to visit so many of the local ‘must do’s’ whilst in Crete. The local people are so friendly and accommodating it really was a fantastic stay. I am already planning our next trip it was absolutely perfect 11 out of 10!!!”

    “Wow, where do I even begin? Virtus in Mare is an absolute gem! Our stay was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views of the sea. Our lovely host, Eirini, was already at the villa upon our arrival, welcoming us warmly and showing us around the house with her great hospitality. The villa blends sophistication and relaxation, making it the perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind and rejuvenate. The outdoor area is simply breathtaking. The pool was a hit with everyone, especially the kids who loved it as we had it heated.  Eventhough we had in our plans to visit some nearby spots, finally we spent all our nights at the villa! We had them all in our feet! The outdoor fitness area with a sea view inspired us to keep up with our workouts, and the variety of equipment available was impressive. The barbecue area, which was equipped with everything we could possibly need – an electric and charcoal BBQ, a spit, a wood oven, and even a 50” Smart TV!  We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories at this amazing retreat. If you're looking for a perfect getaway, look no further – Virtus in Mare is the place to be!”
