“Nice place to stay in Abu Simbel, it is a beautiful colourful and well kept building with lovely gardens. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Good fixed price dinner, which was more expensive than elsewhere in Egypt, but seems more standard for Abu Simbel. Staff were friendly. Not far from the temples, which is handy if you're making multiple visits (eg returning to see the light show). The driver we had booked and brought with us from Aswan was made welcome here by the staff.”
“Great owner who was very helpful, the room was nice, and I loved the view from the rooftop!
The hostel is on the island and is very easy and cheap to reach by public ferry (takes 5mins). Walking around the island is also fun. Check out King Jamaica for some good food. :)”
“Very calm hotel in a superb spot just in front of Philae temple. Perfect to disconnect.
Food is great and people working at Eco Nubia are super nice :)”
“Everything. This is new opened hotel, Everything is very clean. 10 minutes walk from Abu Simbel temple.
Owner is very kind. I highly recommend this hotel.”
“The room was good, the staff was very friendly and accommodated us by providing a breakfast box when we checked out at 4am! The position was also very central.
Only downside was the fact the shower water did not get warm, but was also not extremely cold.”
“The place is in a remote location in the calm waters, facing the Philae Temple. Room feels like a highly comfortable house in a dream village. Spa facilities are amazing, I would highly recommend the Egyptian hot stamp massage of Mrs. Zainab. The staff is super kind, joyous and peaceful, Mr. Shoum from the restaurant, making my check-out breakfast box with a fresh mango juice ready in a blink of an eye, Mrs. Merna and Mr. Joseph in the front desk being very helpful, upgrading my room to a jakuzi room, solving all my requests in minutes and, Mr. Besim delivering me my necklaces (that I realized that I forgot in my bathrobe’s pocket in the airport) in a speedy way right to the airport, all unforgettable… With the elegantly natural interior and exterior design in breeze of basil Ben Ben by Dhara is an oasis for Egyptian tourism.
Because the place takes place in the lower dam you need to reach there by taxi and take the hotel’s boat waiting in the dock, but it’s worth the distance. I’d highly recommend, do not hesitate.”
“David was always on hand to give particularly helpful advice, including arranging trips, going to the bus station, etc
This is one of the best value hostels I have stayed in Aswan located in a local community and shop with local price and only 3 pounds to go to city center. If you want to experience the local life and are not in a hurry, I strongly recommend staying here for a longer time.”
