“Oceania hotel was an amazing experience. Very good environment. Super close from the port. And the staff were so helpfull! Giving us a lot of tips and information about how to enjoy better the island.
Highly recommend for any time at year!”
“The location is incredible, right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (in my opinion) and surrounded by nature on all sides. The staff were extremely professional and spoke really good English. I was surprised to get such a level of service in Okinawa! The breakfast and dinner buffet were really good and had a lot of variety. I also went on an incredidble snorkeling tour of the outer reef, organized by the hotel. It was good value for money.”
“This is one of the most incredible places I have ever stayed in the most incredible setting. The hosts were incredible people I felt so welcomed. The booking includes breakfast and dinner and each meal was sensational, such niche and intricate dishes which really stimulated the palette. The island was a sanctuary, so peaceful, with wild dear roaming around, hardly any tourists and the most stunning beaches and viewpoints. I would highly recommend staying here, it was very much worthwhile.”
“One of my favourite stays ever.
First of all, they’re very easy to communicate with even as an English speaking guest, I was able to arrange shuttle bus, electric bike rental months before I arrived.
As soon as I arrived I was picked up by the shuttle bus (there are two types, on a sunny day it’s this super cute semi open cart with folk music playing, on a rainy day it’s a regular 8 seater car). The shuttle bus runs at selected times between 10 - 5 everyday to take you to different areas of the island.
I was shown to the room that had the most BEAUTIFUL view I’ve ever seen. The interior is very cute and clean, a very good size and the bed was fluffy and smelled very fresh.
My favourite thing is that there are self serving towels outside in the hotel room for both bath towels and beach towels, so convenient!
The electric bike rental was 5000 yen for a full day, it was so easy to use, thanks to that I was able to explore a lot of areas. Because zamami island is quite hilly in some parts, I highly recommend you rent an electric one instead of a normal one.
The room price included breakfast which was absolutely deliciously and homey. I also ordered lunch on one of the days and it was the best chicken nanban I’ve had (I feel like I’m saying the best a lot).
I’ll definitely be back again :)”
“This stay was a highlight of our Japan trip thanks to the delightful hosts, who were the most warm and genuine people that we met on our travels.
We are foodies; all of the food was amazing. Make sure you order the chicken wings on your first night (we didn't and regretted it). Breakfast was different each morning, both traditional and western styles prepared to perfection.
The room was spacious and the beds comfortable.
We found the sea turtles (and a massive shimmering school of baitfish) at the nearby boat ramp around high-tide each day. The nearby Ama beach is stunning, but the snorkeling is better at Furuzamami Beach (buses run between Ama, the port, and Furuzamami every hour or so).”
“12 / 10 !!!
Extremely kind, happy and helpful personnel:
1. Picking you up from the port in the morning with a bus
2. Early check in for free as the Marine Liner arrives at 09:40 to Tokashiki port
3. The personnel took our luggage up to the 3rd floor
4. Organizing the renting of scooters although on Thursday many were closed. They have called their friends and the bike rental owner picked us up with a bus.
5. Private shuttle bus to Aharen Beach at any time you want, both ways with no additional cost
6. The restaurant is in the hotel and serves delicious food.
7. You can pay contactless with a card
8. Feels like home with extremely warm hospitality <3 just remember to say 'tadaima' and 'ittekimasu' ;)
9. The staff communicates in English
10. Great location close to the port and convenience store”
