Company information

We live on a farm in Argyll most of the year with our 4 children. We live an outdoor life and have many different animals on the farm. As with our flat in historic, quaint Stockbridge in Edinburgh much of the furniture and furnishings are antique, upcycled, painted and in some way colourful. We let our farm cottage, 2 quirky off grid huts by the loch, shepherds hut and flat in Edinburgh to guests from around the world who we enjoy meeting and ensuring they go home wanting to return. It is likely it is school holidays when you are staying in our flat. We are contactable on the telephone and email although one of us is usually staying elsewhere in town.

Property information

The beautifully presented flat is in a quiet sought after cobbled street facing the Water of Leith river in Stockbridge. Located onthe lower ground floor it has a shared front South facing courtyard. It is a 2 minute walk to Stockbridge market and the shops. The sunny bedroom has a double bed, sash and case windows with working shutters and a large fitted cupboard. The modern kitchen is well equipped and fitted with fridge freezer, gas hob, oven, washing machine (no dryer) and sink. The sitting room looks over the courtyard and has a large deep Loaf sofa, TV, table and chairs. The bathroom has a new white 3 piece suite: bath with shower over, loo and sink. Guests have access to all parts of the flat and the patio area in front of the flat where there are a number of plants and a table and chairs.

Neighbourhood information

Stockbridge is a quaint and quirky area of Edinburgh, with a village like feel. It has many specialist shops, delis, quaint coffee shops and fashionable bars. It is a 10 minute walk from Princes Street and a 1 minute walk to the bustling Sunday market. The green spaces of the Royal Botanical Gardens and Inverleith Park as well as the Modern Art Gallery can be reached by a pleasant walk along the Water of Leith Walkway. The Glenogle swimming pool, yoga classes and gym are 3 streets away. The flat is located in a quiet cobbled street with no through road access which means it is very quiet. The neighbours are our friends, please respect them at all times. There is metered parking in the street. We are zone 5.
