The shepherds hut is situated just west of Penzance on our 7 acre smallholding in a small meadow with a wildlife pond . Traditionally furnished with oak kitchen units , a closet for your clothes , a modern shower room and a cosy wood burner. There is a seating & dining area , and a drop down double bed with memory foam mattress . The decked area at the front is an ideal place to sit and enjoy a meal , read , or just pass the time quietly enjoying the peaceful country view . Our Shepherds Hut is great for people wanting a relaxing, away from it all break, close to nature but with the luxury of a shower room , kitchen , and a cosy wood burner. There is a fire pit and bbq for outdoor cooking , and a hob indoors . Your own parking space is situated 50 metres down the lane from the field gate. Shampoo , shower gel and soap are provided and are plant based and kind to the environment , as are all the cleaning products used to prepare the space for you .
Hi , Our family moved to our smallholding in Sancreed eighteen years ago , and have enjoyed every minute of our little paradise on earth ! Having raised our family and sent them off into the world, my husband Charles and I have decided to share it with you . April is my favourite time of the year with lambs and hatching chicks . I openly admit to whiling away a good couple of hours just watching them springing about . They are a real joy . By summer they are congregating in gangs and having races across the fields. I love the lazy summer days , and am frequently on Praa Sands beach with my daughters and grandchildren , I love to sea swim . A really special time is in the evening at high tide at Long Rock beach . The sea is so still at that time , I would definitely recommend it !
Sancreed is a quiet peaceful area to stay which has easy access to the rest of West Penwith with its glorious beaches , coastal paths and moorland . A short walk away is Sancreed Beacon where you have magnificent views of Mounts Bay and St. Michael Mount. Penzance , Newlyn , St Ives , Mousehole , The Minack , the renowned theatre built in the cliffs of Porthcurno ,the beautiful South West Coast Path, Lands End and The Crowns Mine (Poldark country !) are all a short drive away . Public transport is very patchy in Sancreed so a car will be necessary , although Sancreed Beacon , Sancreed Holy Well and Drift Dam are all a comfortable walk away
