Gorgie Nook is just a 10 minute bus ride to the main ‘Princes Street’ shopping area and Edinburgh Waverly Train station. By flight, a convenient 15 minutes by car to/from Edinburgh airport. A great place to stay for couples or friends travelling together who want to experience the city! This location is also a stone’s throw away from Murrayfield stadium, which is a plus for any sports fans, 10 minute bus ride to Princes Street, or 15 minute bus ride to Old Town. Extra features: Small office area - guests welcome to use. Safety first: I keep a fire blanket hanging in the kitchen, and a fire hydrant and first aid kit in the cupboard next to the dining table. Pease note, there is a microwave oven, electric hobs but no oven in the property. It is *self-catering* however I do leave a few essentials stocked for guests such as tea, coffee, sugar etc. The property is flooded with light, and has an original fireplace (ornamental only), and original wooden flooring. The shower has excellent pressure and there is a half-bath too.

Passionate about sharing the place with those who love Edinburgh! I want to become a host to support my 7-year-old son who struggles in mainstream school, due to his learning difficulties. Renting this space out will help cover his educational and extra needs and hopefully allow guests to enjoy the city from a local’s space.

Local points of interest: - Murrayfield Stadium is only a 15 minute walk by foot from the flat. - Haymarket station is a 20 minute walk - Edinburgh Castle is a 40 minute walk, or 15 minute bike/taxi ride away. - National Gallery of Edinburgh (Modern One/Two) an 8-minute car ride or 30 minute walk. (This one I strongly recommend doing by foot at least one way, it features a beautiful walk via the scenic river, and is one of my son’s favourite family walking routes).
