It's my favourite hostal in central London. Great beds. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Hot showers. Easy location. There's no social communal area but a big kitchen for breakfast & I found the people in the dormitory friendly & chatty.

The location was central to the Royal Mile. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Coffee provided. Easy access to taxis and the train station.

The building work in the lobby started at 7.30am! We had not been made aware that the hotel was under renovation. The lobby was not easy to locate on arrival. The staff were not very friendly, which was disappointing. No tea was provided we had to request it. The bathroom and kitchen area must have been flooded as the entry floor was raised and the flooring moved when walked on. The grouting was missing from the tiles in the bathroom. The door in the shower opened towards the toilet so it was hard to enter. The lobby was dirty.

Room was wheelchair accessible which I didn't book and no hot water for shower in the morning considering its an airport Hotel you would think at 4am there would be hot water for a shower will not be recommending this hotel staff weren't over enthusiastic either the only good thing is its location to the airport.
