Positive section of review
The location is very central to two main train stations. The breakfast was great with a good selection of items. But don’t expect American style breakfast. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I have to especially give kudos to Elizabeth and Nicole. They were very helpful. But other staff were also great. There is a nice long strip of various restaurants within a minute walk. Super convenient location. They offer all sorts of complimentary personal items such as combs, hair brushes, toothbrushes and even pyjamas. The showers have lots of water pressure and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are of good quality. Japanese bidets are wonderful. I can go on forever about this place. Book it. You will love it.

On arrival at the port you can give them a call to pick you up to take you to the hotel. During the evening you can opt to have dinner in your room which is a lovely experience and the staff are wonderful. Staff are attentive and every time you come into the hotel they will give your shoes a quick clean and freshen up before putting them away in the cupboards. Yukata is provided for your comfort and wear around the hotel. The onsen is also a great place to relax. At night there is a shuttle to see the gate lit up which is a nice addition to do some sightseeing when the tourists have left for the day

I think the breakfast options could have been split into a Japanese traditional and a western with a Japanese twist. Just so that food isn’t wasted as sometimes you don’t feel like fish for breakfast or even such a large meal.

Safe and quiet Neighborhood. The private Onsen has a nice touch but we couldn’t figure out how to use it since the manual (of that and the other facilities) is poorly translated. Staff at check-in was very friendly and helpful.

The Accommodation is really small its like living in a shoe box and when we arrived it was not clean at all. Rather dusty and stains on the bedspread etc. There are no proper Plates or Glasses in the „Kitchen“ and the motor of the refrigerator is so loud you can hear it in the whole house. It kept me awake almost 3 nights. A bit far from the Sights of Kyoto as well and the Breakfast was so „special“ we canceled it after the first morning.

Such an amazing atmosphere to stay in a train station. I loved all the details in the room, the bed and bathroom where perfect and the icing on the cake where complementary the breakfast ticket!
