  • Hotel Montagne Matsumoto Review score: 8

“The location is near the station. They will assist in luggage forwarding to our next hotel in Toyama as we did the Tateyama Alpine route. But the luggage will arrive the next day.”

  • Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan Review score: 10

“One of the highlights of my trip to Japan. Everything about this ryokan was excellent including the room, staff and onsens. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were the best meals I had during the trip. Would happily stay again!”

  • Elan Hotel Lake Nojiri Review score: 10

“Great hosts, clean and comfortable rooms and a fantastic breakfast.”

  • Hotel Omodaka Review score: 10

“The staff at the Omodaka could not have been more helpful. The room was great, spacious and clean and comfortable. The facilities, including an Onsen, were fabulous but it was the attitude of the staff that made our stay such a great experience. We were collected from Yudanaka station and given a lift to the start of the Snow Monkey trail. We also had dinner at the Hotel, which was another great experience and also great value.”

  • “The kind and helpful staff”
