  • Hotel Pension Herbert Review score: 9

“We were very much impressed with the hospitality and being given sound advice from Herbert and his family to ensure that we made the most of our stay. The breakfast included good quality, local produce and there was plenty of it. There is an excellent and efficient bus/trolley bus service operating in and around Salzburg and the accommodation is conveniently located for easy use of the service. We noted that there are numerous cycle lanes which are frequently used. There are many visitor attractions and museums in close proximity and we bought a Salzburg card so that we could visit many of them and use the public transport frequently throughout our stay. The scenery in and around Salzburg and the Hotel Pension Herbert is stunning and levels of cleanliness are exceptionally high. We would definitely recommend staying in Salzburg and in particular at this accommodation.”

  • “It was a lot more spacious for our family of five (kids are 9, 12 & 14) than I thought it would be. Right in the heart of Salzburg with access to a lovely quiet garden at the back. We loved it, and loved Salzburg. We hired bikes and went to a lovely swimming lake up the river called Waldbad Anif.”
