“Beautiful place to stay and the whole hotel felt extremely clean. The tatami mats on the floor were always clean and they even wipe down your luggage wheels when you first come in so they don't dirty the floors.
We loved the free snacks they would provide: free yakult and daango, and soba noodles depending on the snack hours. The buffet breakfast is a must - they have unlimited salmon roe and a tuna mash as well as a variety of different items. The buffet breakfast was truly a highlight of our stay.
Bonus: this hotel is extremely close to the subway so it was extremely easy for us to get back to Tokyo. There is also a 711 conveniently located right across the street.”
“Delicious breakfast and the ability to use the onsen upstairs makes this place worth a visit. Only for a night or 2 though if you are tall like me, because the capsules are not that comfy.”
“This traditional Inn is in an ideal location nestled against the mountains and right in the heart of the historic area of Kyoto, within an easy walk to several landmarks. The staff was above and beyond friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fresh, hardy and delicious. As an American and first time in Japan, I highly valued a more authentic traditional Japanese Inn experience.”
“The location was very conveniently close to Gojo Station (about 5 minutes' walk), and about 20 minutes' walk to attractions like Kiyomizu Dera. There are also a variety of restaurants, convenience store and grocery stores around the area.
My room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable - which was something to look forward to after long days of walking and sightseeing.
All of the staff I encountered were very helpful and accommodating. They also arranged a luggage transfer to my hotel in Osaka, so it was much easier to travel between cities without worrying about carrying too many bags.
I've traveled to a few cities already and this hotel was probably my favourite. I'll definitely keep it in mind on my next trip to Japan!”
