    “This must be THE BEST safari lodge and wildlife experience in southern SA! The location, the staff, the guides, the food, the overall experience was absolutely superb. An added bonus was the open bar. A very nice touch indeed. We were lucky enough to meet the owners, and we can see why this place is as nice as it was :-)”

    “Amazing experience!! It was a totally wonderful package of stay (comfortable warm beds, clean rooms), excellent food (we went as a family of 4 and 3 were vegetarians, all efforts were put in to providing them with specially curated vegetarian meals), game drives!! Amazing drive experience with very knowledgeable ranger!! He put in so much effort to show us maximum wild life. The morning coffee with giraffes is something we will remember for lifetime. Thanks Rob for this lifetime memorable experience.”

    “Camp Figtree is a pretty special place! We stayed in a suite that exceeded our expectations, both with design and mountain views over the valley. The road up the mountain took us 30 mins off-tarmac at a slow pace due to being in a rental sedan and dodging the potholes, but upon arrival the staff had us drinks prepared and were very welcoming. The suite was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the pool and couldn't get enough of the views of the valley and the incredible night sky. All meals were superb, and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive. Especially liked that the chef came around the tables to meet us after dinner was finished. We felt completely spoilt the entire stay, and didn't want to leave!”

    “The lodge is situated in a private concession of Addo national park and is the only one that conducts game drives in the area. The staff, including the guides, will do anything they can to make your stay unforgettable. This means you get to enjoy spectacular nature (no less than five biomes!) in peace and quiet on your own terms. The garden is a haven for many birdspecies and a dream for any birder or bird photographer. The waterhole right next to the garden attrackts all kinds of wildlife, including huge herds of elephants, which also creates great opportunities for wildlife photographers. I took many of the best shots I ever made right from the grounds of the lodge! And does it get any better than eating a delicious meal in the company of elephants? I felt right at home from my first stay here.”
