“The breakfast was pretty good. It had a lot of vegetables and I like it. The location of the hotel is fantastic. We can go anywhere with easy access to subway, train and bus. There are a lot of places to eat and shop too.”

    “Very convenient location”

  • RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto Review score: 8.1

    “Was a lovely hotel”

  • “Location. Its near Aeon mall and Kyoto station. Room. Perfect size for a solo traveler, bonus is the tub. Good for soaking a tired body at the end of the day. The picture in the website is the actual room. Pretty spacious if you know how to manage your things. I brought a big and small luggage plus I shop daily and yet I still have enough space to move around. I will definitely book this once I go back to Kyoto.”

  • “The hotel is a Japanic otentic. It has an onsen that we did not use. The location is a little bit far from subway stations but in a very quiet neighborhood. The breakfast is a Japanese kitchen but you can find also western food. I think that the cost of the breakfast is a little pricy. The staf are very helpful although. I have a problem connecting my computer to the internet and they provided me a small router that solved the problem. There is big supermarket "Life" 10 minutes walk that you can find all you need.”

  • “They offer a large variety of meals to choose from for breakfast (both Asian and European styles), and ice cream was a nice bonus. The room and bathroom were rather small but it's kind of expected in Japan. The staff at the reception desk didn't seem confident speaking English, but they did their best and managed to send our luggage to another hotel in Tokyo which was super helpful. The location is excellent if you plan to do day trips by train.”
