  • Mimatsuso Ryokan Review score: 10

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mimatsuso Ryokan, and it was an unforgettable experience. The ryokan is run by really nice and kind people who made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The location is incredibly convenient, just a 5-10 minute walk from Asahikawa Station and the bustling shopping street. Despite its central location, the ryokan is a peaceful retreat. The cleanliness of the place is impeccable. Everything was spotlessly clean, and I felt incredibly comfortable throughout my stay. The experience at Mimatsuso Ryokan is authentically Japanese. The rooms are laid with tatami mats, and they provide Yukata (Japanese kimono) for use in the bath. Additionally, there’s a free kimono try-on experience, which sadly I didn’t have the time to do so. The breakfast served here is heartily good, feeling as if it’s been prepared by your own grandmother. It was delicious and comforting, a perfect start to the day. Overall, the ryokan gives you the wonderful feeling of returning to your grandparents’ place. It’s warm, inviting, and filled with a sense of nostalgia in the best possible way. I will definitely stay at Mimatsuso Ryokan again. Highly recommended!”

  • HOTEL AMANEK Asahikawa Review score: 10

“Great view from the Onsen, amazing breakfast.”

  • “1 of the best stays we had in our 11 days trip in Hokkaido. An experience we wouldn't get back home. Wood chopping, harvest of asparagus from the farm, BBQ in the cold at night with the warmth of the camp fire and waking up to a breathtaking view of the farm and mountain. The house is clean and well equipped. The host is amazing and will prepare the ingredients you need for your meals during your stay. Our family had an amazing time! I would recommend staying at least 2 nights in this farmhouse.”
