“The husband and wife who run Los Pinos are very friendly and obliging. Hot water for my thermos was no problem and the luggage I had left was in my new room on my return from a trip to the islands. Both rooms (before and after my trip) were clean and comfortable. Each had a table and two chairs, a small wardrobe and a bedside drawer and light between the beds, which were comfortable.The bathrooms were clean and tiled very well. They had the usual basin/toilet/shower plus a towel rail, hook,shower curtain and mat outside the shower. The hot water took a while to come through but then I had lovely showers.The breakfast room only has electric light but the breakfast was excellent - orange juice, half a large banana, fried or scrambled egg, plenty of fresh bread with butter and jam plus a hot drink. Free wifi was excellent, TV reception not so good, especially in one room but you are probably not in Puno to watch TV! It's close to Parque Pinos which is an easy walk from main Plaza - so it's near but not in the tourist area. There are roadworks nearby so there is some noise during the day but it is quiet at night, access is still easy and they should be finished soon.”

“Nice little hostel with very friendly staff. It's definitely one of the better places we stayed in during our travel through Peru. Clean room, hot water (need to be early afternoon), many options for breakfast and even a view of Titikaka lake. It was also easy to book a tour at the hostel reception. Possibility to rent a heater for 8 soles, this saved our day as we were able to finally dry off ;-) The hostel itself is not far from Puno city center, maybe 10-12 minutes to the main square. Taxi from bus station was 5 soles so quite close :-) Thank you for a comfortable stay!”
