  • Green View Holiday Resort Review score: 10

“Very kind owners, they make the difference! The room is okay (missing natural light). The position is 25-30min from the center but that allows you to be isolated from noise and pollution, only peace. Breakfast was really good.”

  • The Nest Review score: 10

“The owners of this place are absolutely brilliant! They are so friendly and so knowledgeable! They used to be tourist guides and really know everything about the area and also about the Vedda community. I really enjoyed our conversations. Also the food was delicious!”

  • Sesatha lake Kandy Review score: 9

“Very close to Kandy lake and city center. You won’t need even a tuk tuk. It was very clean and confortable.”

  • Kandy City Village Review score: 10

“I could not recommend this place enough, everything was absolutely wonderful. Mr Sulthan and his staff were very kind and attentive, ready to give advice and assistance when necessary. When I needed to reschedule my dates at the last minute, Mr Sulthan was gracious enough to help me out. The room itself was clean, neat and very comfortable; and the building is located in a very well-landscaped and scenic garden. The accommodation is a little far from the city centre, but you can take a bus or tuktuk very easily.”

  • Queens mount Review score: 1

“Queens Mount Hotel: A Cautionary Tale for Travelers Travelers, both foreign and local, often seek comfort and reliability when booking accommodations for their trips. Unfortunately, the Queens Mount Hotel has garnered a reputation for being anything but pleasant and dependable. Numerous accounts from disheartened guests paint a picture of a hotel that fails to deliver on its promises, leaving many to wander aimlessly in search of alternative accommodations. One of the most frequent and frustrating complaints comes from those who book rooms through popular platforms like Booking.com. Upon arrival, these guests are often met with the shocking news that their reserved rooms are unavailable. Despite having a confirmed booking, they are left without a place to stay, causing significant inconvenience and distress. This issue has become so prevalent that many travelers have started to share their negative experiences online, warning others about the hotel's unreliable service. The problem doesn't end with overbooking. Guests who do manage to secure a room often find the accommodations to be subpar. The service at Queens Mount Hotel is described as inattentive and indifferent, with staff members who appear uninterested in resolving issues or enhancing the guest experience. From unclean rooms to broken amenities, the hotel seems to consistently fall short of even the most basic hospitality standards. For those planning a trip and considering a stay at Queens Mount Hotel, it may be wise to explore other options. The stories of dissatisfied customers serve as a stark reminder to do thorough research and read reviews before making a booking. Your peace of mind and enjoyment of your travels are far too important to risk on a hotel that has proven itself unreliable time and again. Queens Mount Hotel: A Cautionary Tale for Travelers Travelers, both foreign and local, often seek comfort and reliability when booking accommodations for their trips.”

  • Gracian Villa Review score: 10

“beautiful property, staff were lovely, amazing breakfast outside by the pool”

  • Anniewatte House Review score: 10

“Anniewatte House is situated in the hilly parts of Kandy. This means there is a big climb to get there from the train station or the city center, but while some tuk-tuks struggle to climb, they eventually manage to reach. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, perfect to rest, although there is not a lot to do around as it is mostly a residential area. We really enjoyed the big room and comfortable beds. Everything was functioning well and we didn't have any issue. There was a nice smell in the room when we reached. The place is run by the family next door, and they were all very kind to us, even when we came a bit late to request some drinking water. They prepared a delicious breakfast, with toasts, eggs, butter and jam, fruits and tea or coffee. The breakfast was big enough for us to skip lunch!”

  • Selyna Sky Terrace Review score: 10

“Close to the city, but far enough for it to be calm and peaceful. Super friendly host who helped us plan the day. Breakfast was amazing with a great view. Room is comfortable, shower was the best we had in Sri Lanka.”
