All the staff are friendly & helpful and your day begins perfectly on the terrace with whoever is there at breakfast for a perfect start to the day always delivered with a big smile. Breakfast will set you up for the day. The housekeeping staff do a fab job of keeping the house spotlessly clean.It is close to the beach, medina, bus stations and taxis. I could go on and on about this house as it is truly wonderful. I travel in Morocco often and I can honestly say this is one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed in. “In this house they're masters in Hospitality. Mohammed is the king of the house and anything you need, anytime, he will provide with a smile on the face. I felt better than in home. The woman receptionist in the morning is also a queen in hospitality, very kind and very nice. Even the lady on the housekeeping was very gentile. I did thing in my own rhythm and they're were always there for me. AMAZING!!! The room very clean. I stayed in the Meryem room which was on the 3rd floor very close to the terrace...... and about the terrace.... what a dream terrace with view for the ocean, the wall and the Medina..... They offered me tea in the night which was amazing.... and the breakfast?!?!?! BETTER THAN 5 stars hotels.......!!! Plus, at night you got 6 billion stars.... priceless!!!! Don't think too much, if you want real Marocco hospitalaty and lifestyle....... I totally recommend it!”

The owners (a couple) also live in this house and make sure their guests are not deprived of the top service and everything the Riad has to offer. Personnel of the Riad is also very friendly and helpful. The room we had was spacious, clean, and had everything you might need. We even had a new bottle of drink water in the room every day (for free)! Wifi worked fine in the rooms and the public zones; speed was good. This Riad has a very good location in Medina: on the one hand it is near the centrum of Medina (although you don't hear it inside!); on the other hand it is on the first line of houses on the beach. It has a terrace with a magnificent ocean view, ~15 meters above the water. At high tide the house is being washed by the waves. Breakfast on the terrace deserves its own alinea. Broad choice of breads/cookies, jams, fruits, yoghurts. Good coffee. It was served in porcelain dishes and cups. Eggs could be requested in different variants if desired. We pretty much enjoyed everything we tried. Add to this the nice view and sounds of the ocean and you can imagine that we preferred to stay at least for an hour at the table, enjoying these moments and not rushing outside, into the city. Thank you for the wonderful time!”

Raoud Rayhane is a safe, nice sized riad located at the end of a quiet alley within the busy medina in Essaouira. When booking my room online, I left a note to arrange to be picked up from the airport upon arrival and also later dropped to the airport upon departure - I received a prompt message to confirm this had been arranged - a huge relief as I speak no French or Arabic! When arriving at the property (the driver also walked me through the medina to get there), I received a warm welcome from Karim followed by a short tour of the property/facilities/my room and being offered some refreshing mint tea. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, nicely furnished, with nice lighting.I had plenty of room to empty out my luggage and a really comfortable bed.The bathroom was also very spacious and clean, with nice details such as the shower panel and patterned wall. The breakfast with pancakes, fresh fruit juice, coffee and egg of my choice had been prepared promptly on each morning by the lovely, smiling staff. From the upper roof terrace where the sunbeds are, you have lovely views of the North Atlantic ocean and medina. During the day you can hear the tweeting of the little birds and seemingly distant sounds of the hustle and bustle of the medina, whilst in the evening you can hear the ocean from up here - very peaceful indeed. I stayed in the superior double room - Nour El Qamar for three nights and found my room (as well as the interiors of the property) quite intriguing! Each floor has it's own communal area where you can sit and relax, eat, read or watch some TV. I would describe Raoud Rayhane as being clean, modern and elegant with a Moroccan feel at its heart.”

“Very simply, if you are planning on visiting Essaouira, you must stay with Jane. This was my third trip to Morocco (my first in Essaouira) and although I visited only a few weeks ago, i'm already planning my next trip. Jane's hospitality to second to none. What she doesn't know about Essaouira really isn't worth knowing ("Fancy a sweet treat in the afternoon? Don't spend hours queueing at Patisserie Driss, go round the corner to the small shop know to the ex-pat community as 'Fortnums'!") When i arrived at the Riad after a very pleasant drive from Marrakech airport (Tip - If you are flying into Marrakech, ask Jane to arrange a private Transfer - it may seem costly, but considering the journey is 3 hours, it really is fantastic value for money, and a very relaxing way to arrive) i was greeted by Jane, and a fresh pot of delicious mint tea. We then spent at least the next hour chatting about the "must-visit" restaurants, streets and shops within the Medina. Jane's self-penned "Guide to Essaouira" is worth its weight in gold. Jane's hospitality didn't stop there though, she lives in the Riad, so is always on hand to advise on where to go and what to do. Plus, her many many years working in the Tourist industry helps when you, as i did, forget to print your return flight details before travelling and somehow have to find your PNR number! Like other travellers who have reviewed Dar Mouna Mogador i also experienced several lazy breakfasts with Jane; such a great way to start the day - a filling and delicious breakfast (the Pancakes are fabulous!), great conversation and beautiful roof-top views over the Medina. The rooms are comfortable, but are traditionally Moroccan, which is part of the fun! Jane really makes the Riad feel like a home-from-home. I could go on and continue to evangelise about Dar Mouna Mogador, but all i'll say is "Going to Essaouira? Stay with Jane...."”

“This Villa was amazing. We arrived slightly earlier then our check in time however that was not an issue, the maid kindly let us explore the Villa while she finished. The place was clean, with plenty of fresh towels, and a well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. There was plenty of cleaning products so we did not have to buy any. We did have to buy our own washing powder. The supermarket is roughly a 10-15mins drive away which has everything from fresh fruit and veg, frozen foods, canned products etc. The swimming pool was a decent size, we was a group of 7 adults so did find it a bit of a squeeze to move around freely if we were all in the pool. The pool was cleaned daily every morning, do note the heated pool only really kicks in after 7pm. As we were their during off peak season we did find the pool slightly cold in the morning. The beach is roughly 45mins away, if you walk through the golf course however i would only advise this in day light. It is better to take a taxi. The Villa is located on private complex with high security, you cannot wave a taxi down as taxi's are not allowed in unless you have called one, it is best to get details of a taxi driver (we had a recommended taxi by the maid) which we were able to call as and when needed. Overall a really pleasant stay, we will be coming back in the future.”

“The hotel was incredible- didn't want to leave it and it's one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Rooms and every corner of the hotel are beautifully decorated, every time walking like in a gallery. The staff was very helpful and very friendly, however could improve English especially in golf club house. I liked that they have also natural swimming pool, and nice oasis to relax next to the pool. Various bars and restaurants are open around the pool. You have always a choice for the meal at any moment of the day. The buffer dinner was fantastic - really worth taking it, one can try various Moroccan dishes, very delicious. In the evenings - live band in the bar with the sunset view terrace will leave nice memories. And if you want to have even more fun in the evening - live music band at SO lounge is worth a visit. I enjoyed every corner of this hotel and haven't left it for 3 days. I would love to come back and absolutely could recommend for the ones who are looking for real relaxation. We traveled without children, but it's also suitable for holidays with kids. Good value for fantastic holidays!!!”

“Our first impression of this two level apartment was great, modern but with a Moroccan feel. Upstairs there's one double and one twin room plus a bathroom. Down stairs there's a kitchen, dining area and lounge. There's everything here for a true self-catering experience, including a proper size fridge/freezer, more than enough pots & pans and a washing machine. The supermarket, Carrefour, is about 15-20 mins walk away. Out the apartments towards the beach, turn left and take the second exit at the roundabout, then keep walking. It's pretty big and has everything we wanted. Outside the apartment, the pool area is clean and mostly protected from the wind. Not that we really felt much wind. Our visit was in December and I'd describe it as breezy, not windy. Another concern we had before arriving was access to alcohol, but it is available in about half of the towns' restaurants, plus there's an off licence attached to Carrefour - and it's at least as big as the alcohol area in my local Tesco superstore. The apartments are situated on the beach, nearby to camel rides and opposite Restaurant Le Seven (which does serve alcohol). A walk along the sea front takes you up-to the walled Medina (just try to avoid being confused by the big "Medina" signage attached the the Medina Hotel) where there are lots of nice restaurants plus markets - where we were grateful of getting only a very low level of pestering or begging. If I was coming again I would probably bring a USB stick loaded with music and movies to play on the apartment's hi-fi and TV. And I would definitely brush up on my GCSE French as the apartment owner speaks French, most menus are in French and its the most commonly spoken European language.”

“Anne (the owner) was very helpful organising the taxi from the airport and having some provisions in for our arrival. She also greeted us and was helpful with advice and orientation re prices, how to get to places etc. The apartment was lovely, spacious, clean, well equipped and very safe with 24/7 security on the gates. The kids appreciated the wifi! The gardens and pool were also very nice and the balcony was great for having lunch overlooking the pool. The apartment is very close to the beach and the water sports / camels and a short walk to either the supermarket or the Old Marina. The people were very friendly and we felt safe throughout our stay. Also, we didn't get hassled much as tourists either walking around or shopping in the market. We ate in the local Moroccan restaurants within the city walls of the Marina, where the food was excellent.”
