“The property manager was extremely friendly. He provides lots of tips on what to do not just in Hakone, but also on how many days to spend per city. He is also very generous and it has been our pleasure and joy to speak to him!”
“I liked that you can have a private onsen session for 1 hour. The onsen experience exceeded my expectations. The room was really spacious. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious and hearty. There was so many small dishes. My favorite dishes were the steamed rice with small white fish and the vegetables tempura.”
“Traditional home style”
“The private bath and outdoor shower with an amazing view. Our meals were amazing and the staff were very friendly and pleasant.”
“Lovely place, very cozy. Breakfast is good. bed is very big an good. Good facilities.”
“Beautiful and breathtaking views, very well presented hotel, great amenities and inclusions, lovely onsen with views, and excellent customer service”
“I like onsen, dinner. I like the room as well but not for utility like hot water and ventilation suction grill is not clean.”
“The stay at Ryokan Yaeikan was a highlight of our week in Japan. The personnel don't speak English very well but are such a lovely and friendly people. Google translate helped.
The room with yukatas was amazing, we loved it. The building itself is also beautiful and walking distance from the train station. We also had kaiseri dinner and brakfast and it was good experience with a lot to eat.
There are four onsens: one for ladies, one for gentlemen, one you can book for private use at check-inn and one you can use privately always when the door is open.”
“This is a beautiful hotel in a very good location in Yokohama. It was the last hotel to be built in an odd shape in Yokohama. This type of architecture is no longer allowed. The hotel itself is a wonderful site to see and inside it is surely grand. I had a harbor view and it was lovely day and night. I imagine the city view would be beautiful as well because the ferris wheel and the city light up at night. There are plenty of amenities including toothbrush & toothpaste, razors, a lovely Moonpearl Skin Care Set (Mikimoto Cosmetics). The room was immaculately clean with white sheets and several pillows of different sizes and textures so anyone can sleep comfortably. I prefer to not have my room cleaned every day but each evening I called the reception for 2 bottles of water (complementary) and they were brought to my room within minutes. The entire city of Yokohama is walkable from the hotel. For those on a cruise, this hotel is easily walkable to Shinko Pier (Hammerhead). With luggage, it is a bit of a walk to Osanbashi Cruise Terminal but doable. Daikoku Pier is on the other side of the bridge and you will need transportation to that terminal.”
