The train station was a short taxi ride away (costing about 7 lei in metered taxi), although taxi drivers at the train station will try to rip you off for about 30 lei and not put the meter on. The rooms were of average size and were well appointed. The shower on the ground floor had fantastic pressure and an excellent supply of hot water. The staff at the property are immensely welcoming and helpful, arranging taxis and tours when requested. One member of staff even helped get my partner to the local hospital when he wasn't well, and translated to the hospital staff. Even though you're still close to Brasov you feel like you're located in the woods, this house was built by Dino, tastefully decorated with Florence's beautiful paintings and items from all over the world and is a mansion whilst still being quaint and feeling like a real home away from home. (There were a lot of Romanian travellers coming in and out so we definitely think this may be Romania's best kept secret!!) Definitely say yes to breakfast and dinner, you actually don't need to eat anywhere else, nowhere will you get a real taste of Brasov living and ready when you're ready in the dining room!! We loved everything we tasted. Cats and dogs are plenty in this house and they are well behaved and drop dead gorgeous. Even now having left Romania, we still tell everyone about this place, we even extended our stay. The rooms are big and we recommend the rooms with balconies for the views onto the lake and into the woods. If you're lucky, apparently you can spot wild boars!! The shower is something out of a sci-fi movie with back massagers as an option. We loved everything about our stay and couldn't recommend anywhere better in Europe to stay. Dino and Florence, thankyou thankyou thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for the stories, the food, the dog and cat family and everything else you did for us.”
