“We arrived there early in the morning after taking a night bus. Because they had a free room for us we already were able to check-in and freshen up at around 8 o'clock in the morning. After coming back down to the reception they even offered us breakfast! Meaning that we got an extra breakfast for free! For breakfast you can choose several dishes from the menu and it was all delicious. They even bring you a platter of fruits after breakfast. The rooms were very clean and had really big beds! They always folded the towels into animals or stuff like that. The staff was very care-taking and welcoming so that we felt very comfortable at all times. Even the manager/owner was there most of the time to make sure that the guests are having a great experience (he is a local who's living in germany, but he is at the hotel for the first few weeks after the openning). They just opened the hotel a few weeks ago, that's why there are not many reviews yet, thus it was definitely worth the "risk" of booking a hotel with low reputation. It is actually too good to be true! I am sure that this hotel will gain its reputation very soon and I wish them the best for the future!”

“Our stay at Orchid was very enjoyable! We had a complicated journey, as a result there was a small screw-up with our booking and we were put in their sister hotel for one night, but they went out of their way to make up for it: a heart-felt apology, complimentary upgrades in both hotels and pick-ups for the two times we arrived in Hue. The manager himself was at the train station to organise our first pick-up, he saw us very briefly and yet remembered our names when we came back 2 days later and was very friendly. The staff kindly booked and picked up train tickets for us, free of charge. They were also very flexible with our inconvenient check-in and check-out times and kept our backpacks between our 2 stays in Hue. The location was very convenient. A 20min walk to the citadel, and in the middle of restaurants and bars. Nightlife in Hue stops early though. The (upgraded) room was great, spacious and comfortable with a balcony, air-con, a good shower, a connected computer (which came in handy when WiFi didn't work on our mobiles), a safe, a TV, night gowns and slippers. Breakfast was good: a large choice including fresh fruit.”

We got brought to our room straight away which was small but spotless everything was so clean and the bed is super comfortable!
