“Most of all I liked the host Ari. She made it a great stay. She really makes you feel welcome and fun/great to talk to also😊 The place was quiet and had a kitchen which I really enjoyed using. Great place to stay!”

  • “I like the location and stuff there. The people there were extremely nice and helpful. I also like that they enable me to to make fire there.”

  • Juda Homestay Review score: 10

“Juda Homestay is a gem of a place! The host, Juda, is clearly committed to ensuring his guests enjoy their stay. He arranged an amazing group tour to Ijen for us - the pick up shortly after midnight was prompt, the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful speaking excellent English, and the sunrise views were unforgettable. Juda stayed up to bring us coffee at midnight which we very much appreciated. Upon our return in the morning, he swiftly prepared us breakfast (and his breakfasts are truly delicious and filling - probably one of the best omelettes we’ve ever had!) and a warming jasmine tea. As the homestay is very quiet and peaceful, we were easily able to then sleep during the day. Juda also served us breakfast at 4.30am on the day we were leaving so we wouldn’t be going hungry for our 5.45am train to Malang - a hero of a host! He was genuinely friendly and caring throughout our stay. We stayed for 3 nights and ate several times at a local warung called Bu Us (only a 1-2min walk away but it’s not on Google Maps). Juda helped us order a veggie meal there on our first day and it was one of the most delicious (and cheapest) Indonesian meals we’ve had on our travels. For a trip to the centre, Juda rented us a good quality scooter. The people of Banyuwangi were so kind to us whether we visited a restaurant, a supermarket or hiking shops (there are 2 excellent ones in town in case you need to buy any hiking items). The bungalow was super clean and comfortable!”

“Hôtel very nice, with a good location. We love to enjoy the pool and fresh garden. The room was big and lovely. We book with the staff for our Ijen mount excursion. The quality/price service is really good.”

  • Harrys Oceanhouse 2 Pacitan Review score: 9

“Loved my stay here. Harry is a really great guy and help me in case I needed anything. The place is really cosy with a great vibe. I loved sitting on the 1st floor and relaxing. The price is really cheap to compared to what you get. Surely return here if I pass by Pacitan again.”

  • Banana Homestay Review score: 10

“The staff were so friendly and it was a very clean property. The breakfast included was excellent.”

  • “Staying at Agus’ homestay was the highlight of my travels through Indonesia! Nestled in a charming village, this homestay is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. From hiking and biking through picturesque rice fields to visiting stunning waterfalls, there's so much to do. The homestay is spacious and pleasant, offering plenty of room and comfort for guests. Agus himself is an exceptional host. He organized a great tour to Ijen for me and shared many excellent recommendations for local activities and sights. His guidance and hospitality provided a much more authentic experience of the region than one can get elsewhere. Hope to visit again soon!”
