Rooms are beautiful, restaurants are buzzy and sunlit and the sunset from the balcony is amazing. We ate in both of the restaurants and really enjoyed the food. I think other reviewers are pretty harsh on some of the small problems they encountered. As someone who researches and writes about hotels and restaurants, and has travelled around the world, there are usually always some minor issues to be ironed out, no matter what the room costs you! The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. We loved it here and will return.”

“As during my previous stays, the staff at the reception desk was friendly, the room was clean, and so was the bathroom. The TV worked this time, with one short moment when it didn't have the signal. The TV program provided somehow didn't correspond to the actual channels on TV, which was a first, but that wasn't too big a deal. The shower worked perfectly this time, and the water got hot very fast, so I didn't have to wait and waste water. I had requested early check-in and was allowed into a room before 3pm, even though the room had not been cleaned yet. At least, we could drop off our bags. The personnel also held our bags for free on the day of check-out because we weren't actually leaving until late afternoon. They were very professional about it, put the bags in a separate room where the guests aren't allowed and gave us receipts that we had to present in order to receive our bags.”

Still the room was super clean. Bed Linens and towels had been washed with fragrance free detergents, and they even left some hypoallergenic detergents at the washer machine for us to use. Highly appreciated. I can go on but briefly this is the place to stay when in LA.”

“The apartment was very spacious and modern with the best view straight to the Venice Beach. The apartment had large windows bringing lots of light into the apartment and enhancing the effect of the absolutely fantastic beach and ocean view. The hotel staff was really friendly and helpful. One of the guys from the reception even showed us our room prior to check in. And because we were a large family we also got a FREE upgrade to the biggest apartment on the top floor of the building! Excellent customer service and would like to warmly recommend this hotel to all travelers. There is also a very nice and cosy cafe Figtree's Cafe at the same building facing to the ocean front walkway and to the beach. Food is excellent and healthy choices are available in the menu too. The hotel has an agreement with the cafe that hotel guests receive -50% discount at breakfast between 8 am-10 am. This was a big plus and very convenient. Parking was a public parking right around the corner. We had a large SUV which we could fit very well to the parking lot. Parking was also safe even though being a public parking.”

Other side the street is gas-station where you can buy water and other items and McDonalds and Subway and many Mexican Restaurants in walking distance. I saw only two homeless people in one week time and felt safe and quiet area to walk even in the night but been getting use to travel a lot. Is basicly only mexican and latin people living in the area but quiet and was nice. I will definitly stay here next time when will be in the area.
